The only negative point I find with Beyonce's visual album is that she gave us the visuals to accompany all of her music as she sees it (and it's stunning in places). But I think that the personal interpretation in music is important. I love hearing a song/album, imagining the visuals in my brain, thinking about how the music video would look had I directed it. And then, when the artist releases the music video for a certain single, I enjoy comparing my visual interpretation to theirs.
Beyonce made her music very easy to consume by providing the accompanying imagery. It's a smart move on her side, because she knows that pop music listeners have become lazy. You have to give them all so they don't have to think and strain their creative muscle. Nice packaging helps, which she accomplished very well.
She gave us the novel and the movie adaptation at the same time.
