Hmm...I'm reluctant to compare BR to Thriller, just because the scope of Thriller was so large and it was (and still is) so widely imitated.
That said, I think Lady Gaga is the preeminent video artist of our generation. Music video premieres are suddenly a big deal again, and that's largely because of Gaga. (I guess some would disagree, but hey opinions can be wrong too
). When was the last time an artist's videos were so anticipated, by both fans and haters? No artist this century can match her, in that regard.
