I don't believe that religious beliefs should be treated with automatic respect. Religious people should obviously have the same rights as everyone else, and nothing should be said against those practising religion in peace. But the minute they try to convert others, or use their religious views in an argument I don't see why their views should be treated with any more respect and any more validity than a crazy methhead with equally irrational views about "those evil ponies in the sky, the ones who caused 9/11"
