10GOTYE f/ KIMBRA "Somebody That I Used To Know" Weeks on Chart: 18 Weeks Peak Position: 01[2] Debut Date: March 3, 2012 "You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness. Like resignation to the end, always the end."
Billboard 2012's biggest song, "Somebody That I Used To Know", kicks off the Top Ten. I've first heard Gotye's breakout track since January 2012 and I admit I wasn't feeling the song too much cause it sounds weird. But after a couple of spins, I finally appreciated the beauty and epicness of this indie rock track. This song is one of the best representations of 2012, and I can't deny how big it became across the world. Who would have expected that this track turned Gotye and Kimbra from nobodies to somebodies.

09CHER LLOYD f/ MIKE POSNER "With Ur Love" Weeks on Chart: 15 Weeks Peak Position: 02 Debut Date: January 7, 2012 "Flying baby, I'm shining baby, I'm riding with your love. One hit baby, I can't quit baby, I'm so sick but so what."
It's been a while since we last seen Cher Lloyd on the list. This time, she comes back in the Top Ten with a very cute, catchy and cheesy duet with Mike Posner. "With Ur Love" is Cher Lloyd's second UK single, and I admit it's way better sensible than "Swagger Jagger". I instantly liked this track when I first heard it, but it took me a couple of weeks more to fully get hooked on it. I totally love the cleverness of this track, and how Cher Lloyd delivered the lines with that chilling feeling of being in love.
2009: Taylor Swift, "Fifteen" 2010: Alicia Keys, "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart" 2011: Jessie J f/ B.o.B, "Price Tag"
08CHRISTINA PERRI "A Thousand Years" 2011's #04 FIRST SONG TO APPEAR IN THE TOP TEN FOR TWO CONSECUTIVE YEARS Weeks on Chart: 10 Weeks Peak Position: 01[2] Debut Date: January 7, 2012 "I have died everyday waiting for you. Darling, don't be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more."
If you were impressed how "The One That Got Away" set a record on my yearenders for having appeared on the Top 20 for two consecutive years, "A Thousand Years" deserves more distinction as it places in the Top Ten for the second year in a row! I've always been enchanted and haunted by this magnificent heartfelt ballad, and it really took time for me to let this go off my playlist. Aside from the stunning vocals and heartfelt emotions, the message of this track struck me the most. It's just so sincere. Now I truly believe that the only good thing about Twilight is its soundtrack.
Her singles achieved great statistics on my countdown. She has three songs on my iTunes Most Played. She's so cute, clever, appealing and irresistible. She caught me so much that I always become excited to research her new songs or singles. She is truly a big part of 2012 playlist.

Last seen solo in "You Lost Me" (2010)
I've always been a fan of Christina since I was a kid and I am glad she's back. Her comeback single may not be as epic than her early days, but I appreciate this change in direction. Her epic vocals are still on track.
