It all depends on her contract, which no one here has seen. If they have a clause where she's not allowed to release anything and she does, the label can sue her.

Also, In The Dark was extremely experimental and original. That's a fact. Go ahead and search for any song - mainstream or not - that is similar to In The Dark but I highly doubt it will be a fruitful search. She thought outside of the box and delivered an extremely well-written song that was simple yet intricate and mysterious, eerie, haunting, futuristic and she uses autotune in an extremely different way to everyone else. Again, those are facts. It's fine for anyone to dislike it and think the song fell flat, but stop BSing.
