I don't understand why there are so many people complaining that the song and the video don't match - therefore, it doesn't make sense.

The song LoveGame has nothing to do with a subway. Poker Face has nothing to do with a pool. There are tons of videos from all artists that don't match the song lyrics. But suddenly everyone is complaining that it doesn't make sense because she is in jail and murder, blah blah....

Basically 'Telephone' is a simple fun club banger and there is no sense in looking deeper. They took the song and made an interesting video and still creatively integrated ideas from the song into the video.
