I actually disagree, I think it is good she doesn't do R&B anymore. R&B is dying right now and JoJo has always walked the fine line of POP and R&B. I mean most of her singles have been pop records. The only R&B singles were How To Touch a Girl and, Not That Kinda Girl which flopped…
I think she needs do music like Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway…
Anyway, what she is doing right now is right - her sound is definitely pop but she's infusing different tracks with different genres. She's one of, if not the most versatile mainstream act, so this is the only way. I'm looking forward to hearing the more Urban tracks she said she's doing.
I think Disaster was a great song, but the chorus wasn't memorable enough and it's the sound of pop music from back in the TLTL era. Not pop music 2011/2012. I'm interested to see what comes next.
I don't want to seem pessimistic but I think it's safe to say Disaster is done. IMO it wasn't a bad lead single, it was just never promoted properly and this is the type of song that needs to be promoted in order to do well. It's not fluffy pop or dance pop that catches on radio . It's pop with a rock edge, how many songs do you hear like that on pop radio?
Anyways, I think it's just time to move onto the next single. They should release it in February and hopefully they'll promote it and it'll smash. If not then I can see them pushing this album back.

I agree. Poor JoJo is Never promoted properly and Disaster was a good song. I hope next single is way better and more 2012

My thoughts exactly. Disaster is never going to pick up on radio. They should just release a new single in early February and move on. Plenty of other artists release multiple songs until one catches on radio.

Agreed. I've always had hope that it would pick up but honestly I can't see it happening anymore. It's too bad though because Disaster is one of my favorite songs of 2011 and I actually like it more than Too Little Too Late.
I think her next single should be something a little more fun and upbeat. Show a different side to her but nothing like generic dance pop, I highly doubt she would record a song like that anyways.

Disaster deserved so much more! I honestly think that it could've been at least a top 20 hit!

JOJO's going to be releasing a bunch of Disaster remixes! Do you guys think it'll help the single?
I mean, it'll definitely chart on the Club Songs chart but do you think it'll help airplay-wise?
Like Adele's Someone Like You? Whenever I hear that on radio it's a remix.

I'm really hoping that it can help. Disaster is amazing IMO. Like you said before, the single was not promoted properly and it deserved much more. Do you think JoJo will move on to the next single?

I love Limbo <3. Jojo is so talented. She really deserves success.
