She's on the most risky point of her career, imho

This. They can't afford a flop right now. Even Madonna had to fare qualche compromesso to stay strong over the years (and right now it's much more difficult to have a long career than back in the 80s-90s).

I'm just saying it'd have to be an EP if she wants to tour, not a LP, imo.

But, considering the actual situation, there's no way it will be so big and it's obvious that they want it to be big since it's their main source of money.

I guarantee that if she went on tour right now, she would sell-out every date. I don't think her problem is sustaining a tour, I think it's getting more people to enjoy her music again, rather it being only her and (with a few exceptions) gay males

But with the digital market these days, 5th single smashes are entirely possible. Look at LFN. Okay, it may have used a remix and discount to get to #1 in the US, but it was still a top 10 hit in the UK with a great airplay peak.
|
Katy has even a 6th successful single, if we want to say it all. The thing is I can't really name many others 5th singles really successful; look at "Man Down" (4th) and "California King Bed" (5th), and when Rihanna released them, she was in a better situation than Gaga now.

Yeah I also thinks it's about the music. Also I'd rather her release another album with dignity than go all out and discount and remix a song on iTunes with loads of banners and such. There's nothing wrong with promotion but you can definitely tell when there are desperate attempts.

But then look at Cheers (6th).
And those two were pretty successful in Europe.

But then think about Cheers. They have the potential to do well, if the public connects with them.

I want an LP, an EP would mess up her discography even more. The next album would be referred to as the 5th by some and as the 3rd by others :redthing:
