That said, if this had been released by a certain someone there'd be all sorts of indepth analysis explaining how this video was actually about the troubled state of the world's marine life or an homage to Taiwanese drag queens.
Paragraphs upon paragraphs would have been written about how eyeless men standing near a woman in a wedding dress somehow represents everything wrong in society.
She looked stunning in music video, but I didn't like how choppy the editing was. There was entirely too much going on at once. Visually I was very impressed and loved the video. There was no signature choreography to be pulled from the routine and Brian really went overboard with hyping the dancing in the video.
Overall the video is really good, just too much going on at once to follow with the sloppy transitions.
let's not judge the choreo until we see it in the live performances.
It's just a really cool, fun video. And weird, but not too much. I've never really been disappointed by Britney's musical or visual output... it's just never what I expect.
This is so true. It's impossible to say what the vision will be on any given Britney project, because she changes it up every time. Never disappointing, just totally unpredictable, which makes the prospect of watching a new Britney video very exciting.
I liked the plot. It came full circle and I liked the different costumes and settings. Maybe it's just me. Circus was good, but it didn't really appeal to me personally.
It's not because of her dancing... which was bad. It's just a really cool, fun video. And weird, but not too much. I've never really been disappointed by Britney's musical or visual output... it's just never what I expect.
Does anyone have any theories about why they digitally stretched her face in some parts?
She's an alien. Since those freaks were hiding underneath her dress (hopefully giving her some good oral too) and the fact that the beginning starts with a ship coming from space
To be completely honest, the storyline doesn't make an ounce of sense to me. At the same time, I'm not certain this song really needed a coherent story to play out in its video. It's great as just a bunch of randomly brilliant stylistic clips.

Or, if this had been released by a certain someone, people would be complaining and crying and bitching that the video and the song don't match - which is the case here.
The set pieces are OK, but they're hardly brilliant, and the editing moves so fast that most of the time you can't even take them in - all you see are flashes of metal and wires and microphones.
