Have you never heard about managers arguing with record labels about what is happening with their artists etc? Management teams do alot more than just book slots for artists to perform, management represent the artists and should be keeping their eye on everything, her management should have spotted this and been on the phone to the label to get it rectified. For all we know Hilary could be the reason behind the smooth running of Cheryl and even Girls Aloud campaigns as she was on top of everything.

Yes, but they don't decide about release dates/when an album or single goes up to pre order. Can you tell me what happened with the horrible strategy for Nicola's album? or how bad were the dates for The Flood, how at first the date was in December, then they changed it for the end of January but ended changing it again for the second week of January? Do you think that was Hillary's fault?
You just need to watch videos from Girls Aloud where they talked about how singles were chosen... if they decide what single is going to be released it's obvious they decide when it's going to be released and how.
The way Girls Aloud released their singles didn't change before/after Hillary came on board in 2005. Nothing. Same number of singles before album (except with OOC, when they knew they could release the single and just the week after release the album and it wouldn't harm them ), same months of release...
