Well, the moon crap could just be the Fairy type in general. I agree it's hard to connect the sun with... anything.

I mean, the fact they have a fully designed logo makes it unlikely that these are just placeholders or random trademarks to throw people off. So these might very well actually happen.

True, also worth noting that the red and blue color scheme - and green with Zygarde - was used for XY, while the moon and sun fit a silver and gold color scheme!
