The absolute QUEEN has just scooped me up today since I've fallen in love with "Problem" and watched every performance and am officially in love with her outrageously flawless voice, superbly cute tiny figure and STUNNING beauty! They do sound very much a like, that's why people automatically assume that Mariah has new singles out every time Ariana releases something.

The way Ariana harmonizes, the way she can barely enunciate her words, the way she does her whistle notes, the way she whispers on some songs, the way she does her background vocals a la Mariah, the periodic giggling throughout her songs, etc SCREAMS Mariah. Maybe it's because I'm a lamb and have been listening to everything Mariah has ever released (some unreleased material as well) that I can spot another artists that sounds like Mariah. Out of all the girls that have been inspired by Mariah (Leona, Xtina, etc), Ariana is the most spot-on. Plus the music they make is similar so that just makes the comparison easier.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. I praised Problem to the high heavens when it was released maybe due to the initial hype surrounding the song. But after a 2-3 days I just got bored of it . Don't get me wrong I still love the song, but I think her past singles are so much better, and should have experienced this amount of success [if not more than this]. Every time I plan to listen to Problem on repeat, I always end up listening to the song once and then playing her entire discography( skipping Problem whenever it comes on).

I am happy that its smashing though, but I cannot wait till Problem dies off and hear the 2nd single.

You're definitely not the only one. Taste of Honey and I were talking about this a week or so ago. It's a good song but it pales in comparison to Yours Truly singles and album tracks like "Daydreamin'", "Tattooed Heart", and "Honeymoon Avenue". I am happy for her success though, she deserves it out of the majority of the pop girls.
