Beyoncé is back and better than ever!
The superstar singer flaunts her killer curves on the cover of the upcoming February issue of GQ magazine, which hits newsstands on Jan. 15.
Wearing only a pair of red leopard-print underwear and a cropped T-shirt, Beyoncé accessorizes her sexy appearance with nothing else but some gold jewelry and a come-hither look.
The 31-year-old songstress, who has a 1-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, with husband Jay-Z, tops the magazine’s list of the “100 Sexiest Women of the 21st Century.”
Buzz over Bey’s risqué cover shoot follows news that she will be performing the national anthem at President Obama’s inauguration ceremony on Jan. 21, which will take place at the U.S. Capitol.
But she won’t stop there. Two weeks later, she’ll let loose with a highly anticipated Super Bowl halftime performance on Feb. 3.
“One of the reasons I connect to the Super Bowl is that I approach my shows like an athlete,” Knowles told GQ.
“You know how they sit down and watch whoever they’re going to play and study themselves? That’s how I treat this. I watch my performances, and I wish I could just enjoy them. But I see the light that was late … . I want to grow, and I’m always eager for new information.”
The curvaceous Knowles will perform the national anthem at President Obama’s inauguration ceremony on Jan. 21.
After that, her ambitious 2013 schedule really kicks into high gear.
Following the Super Bowl, she’ll premiere an HBO documentary about herself and her family that she financed, directed and produced. And as if that’s not enough, the talented diva will then kick off a world tour to promote her fifth solo album, which is due out as early as April.
While such an intense schedule would tire most out, Beyoncé says she lives for it.
“One of the reasons I connect to the Super Bowl is that I approach my shows like an athlete,” says Knowles, pictured here holding a football.
“I worked so hard during my childhood to meet this goal: By the time I was 30 years old, I could do what I want,” she told GQ.
“I’ve reached that. I feel very fortunate to be in that position. But I’ve sacrificed a lot of things, and I’ve worked harder than probably anyone I know, at least in the music industry. So I just have to remind myself that I deserve it.”
Knowles also raps with GQ about the current state of equality for women in entertainment.
“You know, equality is a myth, and for some reason, everyone accepts the fact that women don’t make as much money as men do. I don’t understand that. Why do we have to take a backseat?” she says.
“I truly believe that women should be financially independent from their men. And let’s face it: Money gives men the power to run the show. It gives men the power to define value. They define what’s sexy. And men define what’s feminine. It’s ridiculous.”
As far as that relates to her, Knowles appears to fully understand that she’s in the driver’s seat.
“I now know that, yes, I am powerful,” she said. “I’m more powerful than my mind can even digest and understand.”
