U2 had a strong fan base that will still go out and buy the physical release of the album becaus they make it worth the purchase by adding bonus tracks, demos etc.

But considering how MDNA and the 'deluxe' sounded like studio leftovers fans wouldn't have much reason to do much more than get the free version.

It can strongly be identifiable with Rihanna considering it was the title of her most recent album and is an overall moniker for her current public persona. Why would M be so bland as to recycle such a current sentiment of another artist?

Regardless, its still coming across as a recycled sentiment. Not trying to hate, but its pretty clear cut logic which I think you guys of all people would attest to. I don't see why any of you would try to convince yourselves otherwise. Shes recycling something too current. UNLESS Rihanna is involved with this album somehow and this is supposed to allude to her involvement. Than I get it.

Only delusional haters call HC "flop" . Selling 4.0 million back in 2008 is a huge achievement , especially since it was not released around the Holidays .
Overall , I don't think it's perceived as a flop album at all, whenever people wanna bash it, they do so because of its supposed lack of quality in comparison to Madonna's previous albums but not because of its sales .

How many songs on Unapologetic actually connected back to the title? I didn't waste my time listening to that trash outside of the songs played on the radio, but the singles weren't connected whatsoever. Rihanna's personality might be unapologetic, but Madonna has been this way since the very beginning. She's not recycling the concept when she never let it go in the first place.
