Her team is ****in stupid for neglecting Love on the Brain. That was one category she would've been without a doubt the front runner to win.

Nah, her team was smart. LOTB hasn't had a year to smash and become 'familiar' w/ Grammy voters. If her team is smart, they'll allow it to run it's course for the remainder of this year/Quarter and if it it becomes a hit, then release a 'live version' and submit it for next year. Similar to what Adele would do.

I think her team was smart. WORK and Needed Me were her obvious smashes from this album and voters will be very familiar with those songs. Don't want to confuse them.

Maybe they'll save LOTB for next year. She always got screwed by submitting songs that hadn't fully taken off yet but were released in the eligibility period. Saving it for next year could give it some extra ammo especially if the song does well

That's not true, the song is fairly known given her live performances this year.

Now as far as the charts yeah it hasn't made its mark but that's putting a lot of assumptions into the air.

We still don't know if it will take off and become a hit. Plus after the way the Grammys ignored FFS despite it critical acclaim and chart success again there's no guarantee it will get a nomination at a later date.

& Adele is a bit unfair comparison even with a live version Grammys don't kiss Rih ass and nominate her for anything

They always **** **** up.
I mean,she could have submitted it to Traditional R&B Performance,that was on lock.ROTY and SOTY were a bit risky.. but i actually though traditional R&B performance was a given.She has never released a live version to Itunes yet alone submit it to the Grammys so take that possibility off your minds... smh

I hope she gets what she deserves, which is a Grammy in every category she is nominated. But realistically, I hope she gets at least 3-4 of those nominations!

I am 50/50 on the LOTB submission (or lack thereof)

I feel like its only shot this year was Traditional R&B and I don't feel confident in the academy giving it to her. As "real" R&B artists continue to get pushed out of the category at award shows, traditional R&B is one of their few sanctuaries. I can't imagine her winning over someone like Angie Stone/Maxwell/Fantasia/etc. in that instance, just because that's the genre they devote themselves to 100%. A nomination let alone win would've been controversial and she would've been dragged for no reason. But again, idk if they'd nominate her in the first place.

Nominating it next year gives LOTB a greater shot in other categories. Either way it doesn't bother me too much. Hopefully we get Drake and Kanye's submissions this week to see where else she may be nominated
