I see it doing alright on MC. Won't top L4M mainly because of how harsh reviewers are nowadays compared to 4 years ago, but hey if it does, that's great.

L4M's score was 75 but a lot of critics were complaining because it wasn't cohesive. Imo I'm actually liking this album more than L4M. I feel like this is the sound he wanted to go for for L4M but it didn't work out that way. I could see it scoring around the same or maybe even higher.

I like the album more each time I listen to it. My favorite tracks are Missing U, Let Me, Downtime, and Tell Me. I also like how he didn't have a lot of features either, this is probably the least amount of features he's had since 8701.

It grows on me the more I listen to it as well. Need U is an excellent opener and Stronger is a great closure (Champions doesn't exist in my mind). Downtime/Tell Me growing on me as some of my personal favorites from Usher.

It's possible that it scores around there. Both Crash and No Limit were well received singles and the album imo, is better than the singles. I don't think we've had an Usher album where at least one of the singles weren't one of the strongest tracks from the album. I'd say No Limit, Crash and Rivals are all in the middle of a very strong pack.

So far, I'd also rate it above L4M as well. More lyrical, strong and consistent theme/concept throughout, flows very well and has texture. My initial complaints of the lack of up-tempo tracks completely evaporated. Very well produced with strong vocals.

It would be a 10/10 if Champions wasn't on the album. I saw some people complaining because he cut IDM, Good Kisser, and SCTGTY but I'm glad he did. He wasn't joking when he said his album was inspired by Atlanta's sound. Good Kisser and SCTGTY wouldn't have gone well with the flow of the album and neither would have Good Kisser.

I definitely agree and I'd also add how the other leaked tracks with the exception of Clueless wouldn't have fit the album. I think he should've cut Champions and kept the length of the album at 14 tracks, and maybe make Mind of a Man a full track. That would've made it perfect.

I don't even know what the new/next single is. Push Rivals I guess? Heard on Sway how he's given up on first week sales, chart positions and etc and just pursue the celebration of music. Saying how its all about streaming now and that he's more concerned about making music that he wants to make rather than keeping up with the game. It's a good mentality, but you can't help but think that he only believes this now because he can't have singles take off in success like he used to and has to work for success instead.

Yeah I agree. I think Clueless is the only song that would have gone well with the album. Champions should have been just for Hands of Stone, it doesn't fit the album at all.

Rivals doesn't exactly sound like single material to me at least. It would be a damn shame if he didn't make Tell Me a single.

He shouldve debuted a new single on Ellen or perform both No Limit and Crash, the performance was a little boring to be honest and looked more like a rehearsal
