But.... Thats how the industry works. You don't invest everything in a song at first, only when you see potential in it and if its effective. After all the promo didn't do a lot.

The thing a lot of fans dont understand is that the income has to fit aswell. If Demi doesn't bring it she won't get the promo simply because labels don't spend more money than they get.

No one is saying Hwr is a good label exactly for the timing issue, but if it was an other label she might hve gotten half of the spots and after all you have to admit that here aren't many performance spots in winter. I mean she almost used all of hem except the grammys and the kca's or whatever. Most opportunities are given in summer.
American Idol was her best promo spot with the biggest target audience but it didnt do a lot either. Not because of her performance and not because of hwr. But because one, Demi was slow with shooting the video and two, the song hadnt taken off yet.

The fans made GYHAB succesful not HWR. By the large amount of requests the radio starting playing it and it was only when GYHAB started picking up on the radio that HWR decided to start promoting it. And it was WAS NOT GOOD PROMOTION and the reason is that it was messy and all over the place. The key to promoting is timing and target audience. Like for example they would never air a toy commercial during late night with jimmy fallon because it's mostly college aged kids watching. And you would never see a commercial for winter coats in July.

HWR saw the succes of GYHAB and put her on various different show they could get without much thought to it. An example: Demi didn't perform on teen choice awards, that would have had more effect than if you took away 5 of her other performances. Because 1. it was her target audience and 2. it was exactly the right timing. A good label would have taken that chance and for example Interscope would have been able to get that opportunity if the situation was that it was too hard to get her on the show for HWR.

tl;dr You guys have to stop thinking that the more show with the bigger audience means good promo. Good promo is timing and target audience. HWR is not a good label because they don't promote that way.

Interscope ain't ****. They don't care about any of their artists except the big ones who are bringing them the cash atm & once they stop, they pay them dust. I doubt they'll treat Demi as well as you think. Actually, she could also be worse off there.

I hope Demi sings this song again on her next concert, this is one of my favorite songs she perform on stage. Just imagine how flawless it would sound now with her voice.

I don't want her anywhere near these labels who have 2-3 huge artist because she'd get paid dust once the release dates get too close.

Every label sets priorities. I mean Nelly Furtado is on Interscope. She didn't get any promo in the US.....

Every label has priorities obviously. Not everyone is gonna get the same treatment obviously. And if y'all think Demi is gonna be the queen o HWR forever you're wrong. She needs to sign to a label like Columbia or Interscope.

She doesn't have to be the very top priority and no JoJo was signed to another flop label but it was a joint deal with Interscope I think? but she did release some songs that flopped of course no label not even HWR will support a flop which is unfortunate for her because she's very talented

since they have so many huge artists, Demi will be treated as a flop because she isn't one of those huge sellers but staying with HWR wont do any good either. Maybe LA's label?

and no, Jojo is not a flop, her label makes it seem like that. Disaster charted without any promo.

Nope, but she will for sure be in the top 3 priority all the time.

I really don't want her to sign to any of those big labels unless she can establish herself more...
