erikpaparazzi back in the day I played keyboards with a shy, talented, unknown singer. Last night @catpowerofficial opened for her and I couldn't be more proud of the singer and performer and artist she has become. she had tens of thousands of adoring fans eating out of the palm of her hand. We should honestly expect an entirely slow paced record and be pleasantly surprised if it's not. Slow paced != bad though. I don't think tempo was Honeymoon's issue, it was the sloppy lyrics, repetitive choruses, many of the songs are close to 5 minutes which makes them drag on, the 2nd half of the album is very sameish. UV is a slow paced record but I think it definitely benefited from the fact that it's a rock record. Honeymoon is orchestral AND slow which makes it pretty monotonous.
I don't even wanna drag this conversation on but I'm really happy that there are still people in between the dislikes and hate for Honeymoon who appreciate the record for what it is.
I'm not hoping for anything specific for the next record. I just want her to be satisfied with it, the way she seemed to feel about UV. 'Cause she not only said it was exactly what she wanted but she also did a tour. I just really want her to tour in Europe again.
I just think she really needs to work on the music video thing. Since Paradise that has been kinda messy. Just release one properly or don't. And don't use old footage. That's my opinion.

I am a new stan (like I've been stanning since this summer) and I've gone through all of her albums. I know that she has so many unreleased tracks leaked but I don't know most of them and I'm in need for another depressing song from Lana. Could you guys recommend me something?
If you have listened to Is This Happiness, there is no need to search for a more depressing song by LDR.
Saw her pictures at the Omaha festival, that pretty much confirm, that Lana loves to keep it low these days. Get yourselves prepared for HM part2 and more slow songs with zero promo
She is currently waiting for an offer from a ten dollar budget movie where her new song would be perfectly highlighted.

Honeymoon is my least favourite out of BTD/P, UV and HM. It's still immensely beautiful, and I kind of feel bad for her because UV is so near-perfect, and to top near-perfection is extremely difficult. However, I still use some of the songs on the daily. Terrence Loves You is one of her best songs. The bridge alone > some people's whole careers.
I cannot wait to see where she goes with the new album
At this point she should release no singles if she ain't gonna promote them or send them to radio.
