I admit it isn't that big but jj was named to yahoo's Top 10 Bloggers Roll and was highlighted by vanity fair and instyle as one of the world's leading entertainment websites.

Yahoo has that much visitors because it's usually the homepage for web browsers esp for older people, it's also a search engine (which I believe is the main reason) . The news people check in yahoo are usually the bizarre oddities they publish on their headliners, on the other hand for the hollywood news, they do not really matter.

Yahoo is definitely not irrelevant
It's still one of the biggest news sites. It shifted its market from search engine towards its own website (Questions/Answers, news, etc.), because google obviously overshadowed it as a search engine. It's still enormous.

They usually just have lots of bizarre, fun, weird news articles. They're not like CNN or something, they bring different news. Weird scientific research results and stuff

Yeah, I still check there from time to time because of that kind of stuffs. The way they're written is also entertaining
