Why are you talking about artists from decades ago, when black people did buy music, before the digital era and illegal downloading when they stopped doing so
I'm talking about TODAY, right now, the current state of music. Where the only people that are actually still buying music are the mainstream/white audience. Those artists weren't forced to make "catchy" music and conform. Nor were they making serious music, they made party bops and dances for literal fun and this was when black people were still buying music. So they weren't nor did they have to try and conform because black people were still copping it. Nowadays unless white people are supporting it in some way shape or form, it's not going to be big nor will it sell. But you are purposely dancing around the point so I'm not even going to keep going back and forth with you on this.
