But then you realized your error and immediately rushed out to purchase both the BOMT and OIDIA CD's, right?

A lot of artists find patterns and stick to them. Britney has become a staple for Max Martin, Bloodshy & Avant and Greg Kurstin during the Blackout and Circus era...
I think that's why Beyonce fan love 4 so much. For the most part, she broke her static formula and did something different without making it completely ******.

I appreciate Britney because she doesn't try to take her career by the horns and write and produce and direct. I know fans that choose their favorite songs based on if Britney wrote it or not. I think that's stupid as hell. If a song is good, it's going to be good no matter who wrote it. Of course that limits her from some awards, but honestly who cares? She has the sales to back up the power of her craft and doesn't have to pretend like she's something she's not. I love that about her... and I don't feel like I need to pay special attention to songs she took special parts in, or sings harder in. I'm only her for songs that are structurally satisfying.
I know DJ and producers that won't touch songs like Up N Down, 3 or Get Naked because sonically there is nothing you can really do to improve those songs. Big Fat Bass is just an amazing dance pop song with and insane beat, honestly simple lyrics and a catchy hook... To me, that's the kind of music I like from Britney. If I wanna listen to an artist who's going to blow my mind lyrically, I'll go listen to Regina Spektor or the Bird and the Bee. Hell, even Solange. If I want to listen to something that's all about the music then I'm going to listen to something more organic.
People can tell me I have ****** tastes when it comes to Britney music, but honestly my favorite Britney songs could all be played straight through at a club without mixing and everyone would be exhausted by the end of the night.

And there you are, REACHING again.
You want us to "respect" and "accept" your opinion, but then you try to make the fact the majority of Britney fans dislike your all-time favourite BFB into something it isn't - We just think it is WEAK AS HELL, find a way to deal with it and move the **** on - Unless you decide to accept people will indeed keep saying you have a ****** taste.
Summarizing: we all have our favourites, don't try to discredit or distort what we say because you don't feel the same by saying stupidities such as "enjoy Britney for what she - according to you - is", especially she's proven so many times she's MUCH MORE than a, let's put is this way, dancefloor-only freak.

Every single dance off should have that song as the background music. It fits so well.

TRUE TEA.
But I'd include 'What It's Like To Be Me' and 'I Run Away' in that group as well.

I can listen to "4" without skipping a song, with Britney I have my faves that I love her for and ONLY play them, then I'll come across a gem that I never gave the time of the day, I FINALLY found the beauty in "He About To Lose Me.

You have some great points! Britney has probably estabilished herself as a dance-pop artist, and I highly doubt we are going to have an album like 4 for example ever, I think Britney is sticking with this, because it's what people know her for! I would be terrified to see Britney doing an album like Beyoncé's! I think y'all talking but yall would FREAK OUT you know why? The songs wouldnt be that catchy, radio wouldnt play them, she would dance EVEN less, I see the dead ratings going higher, and without promo it would flop. Y'all know this is true. So im respecting Martian's point of view on this kind of Britney. Britney has never been into writing songs but she is good when she does it just look at Whiplash or Scary or even some In The Zone track! She is good.
I also know some DJs that just don't touch Britney's songs I've been in a disco recently and they play Up N Down, TTWE, I Wanna Go, Slave 4 U, etc. without touching a thing, they do touch in HIAM but that's silly.

Anthony I do not think he is discrediting what we are saying, in fact Big Fat Bass is the kind of song he claims to love from Britney, I think y'all should respect opinions, me myelf LOVE Big Fat Bass always did, in fact lyrically it's too repetitive, but look at that instrumental !! it's so rich with elements Britney hadn't mix before! I seriously love it
Now! Enough with the omg BFB sucks or Big Fat flop ****, y'all know this would go top 15 AT LEAST.

It's amazing how different of a sound Britney went when she helped create "In The Zone." Touch of My Hand still sounds fresh and different from what's out there even still today. Britney working it out to some reggae (The Hookup). She really went awf with ITZ.
She was seriously experimental with that album and still stands as her best album for me. I think Blackout is her most "complete" album meaning every track was good, but ITZ takes the cake as far as quality goes for me.

As for my favorite album tracks (no-singles), I will TRY to do this without killing myself:
1- Autumn Goodbye (Also love E-mail My Heart, I'll Never Stop... and I Will Be There)
2- What U See (Is What U Get) (Also love Can't Make You Love Me, When Your Eyes Say It and You Got it All)
3- Let Me Be (Also love I Run Away, Bombastic Love and Lonely)
4- Breathe On Me (this was the toughest so far, also love Touch of My Hand, Showdown, The Hook Up and Shadow)
5- Ooh Ooh Baby (Also ****ING love Perfect Lover, Get Naked and Outta this world)
6- Shattered Glass (Also love Unusual You, Quicksand and Kill The Lights)
7- I don't think I am ready yet to, but it would be between Criminal, Trouble For Me, How I Roll, Seal it With a Kiss, Scary and TTYH)
