The video could have pushed it even more steadily, streaming is also important these days brings the song under attention of a lot more people. Is it the most important thing? No! But it would ahve helped for longtivity, a possible new peak and a basis to promote a little more down the line!

The label wanted Gypsy for the third single, but it's always been up to Gaga, and she's been going back on forth. I think she agreed with Gypsy but changed her mind last minute
Poor DWUW cause under only slightly different circumstances it couldve been a big success for her.
But I think Gypsy could be ARTPOP's saving grace. Sounds like an album seller to me. Then Mary Jane for the summer
