Last night, the final Grammy nominees were revealed and to quite some people's surprise, indie pop duo Tegan and Sara came out as one of the winners, receiving no less than 12 nominations overall. The band was included in all four big categories – Song Of The Year, Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year and Artist Of The Year – and also dominated the Pop Duo/Group categories, getting both of their singles nominated for Best Duo/Group Song. Other nominations include Best Video (Heart Waster) and Performer Of The Year.

Tegan and Sara are currently promoting separate projects in Europe and the US, respectively, so we could only reach them for a statement over the phone.

“I got a call from Sara in the middle of the night when nominations were announced, and I really thought I was still asleep and dreaming”, said Tegan who we reached in Paris. “It feels incredible, I just can't believe it. We worked really hard on our album and this makes me feel like it paid off. We've already had an incredible support from fans and the media, but getting nominated for the Grammy's has always been a dream and big goal of ours and now it's finally happening. We can't wait to attend the ceremony and watch it all go down, that's gonna be a great experience already. We're also extremely happy that so many of our friends got nominated, Selena Gomez, Christina Aguilera, and there's some other artists that I also thought really deserved it. Krewella for instance, we're very excited for them.”

Sara was in Los Angeles, promoting her duet with Carlos Pena when we called her. “This is shaping up to be the biggest year in our career, and it feels amazing. It's like we're finally being rewarded for all the hard work we've invested over the last fifteen years”, she told us excitedly. “It's too bad that Tegan is not here right now so we can't celebrate together, but we're extremely happy nonetheless and it comes just in time with our birthday this week, too. Best present ever! We'd like to thank everyone who voted for us, and see you at the show!”

Carlos and Sara to Online Q.A. for fans





Carlos and Sara Quin recently did a live youtube chat with their fans, answering questions from the twitter hashtag #AskCarlosandSara

The first Question they chose to answer was

Sara: Firstly, he is definitely not replacing Tegan.

Carlos: Yeah, that's not what this is.

Sara: This is a one time thing. I heard him recording the song and I really loved it and he suggested turning it into a duet.

Carlos: And the rest is history.

Question 2:

Carlos: What the actual ****?

Sara: *rolls her eyes* It's just a duet.

Carlos: It's not like we made a sex tape.... yet.

Sara: *punches him on the arm* Don't feed the rumors. I am definitely in a happy relationship and it's with my girlfriend and not Carlos.

Carlos: And I was never dating Rihanna or Carly Rae Jepsen. I was just friends with both of them.

Question 3:

Sara: It immediately connected with me. It felt so personal and the lyrics literally felt like the story of my life. It's just as if when heard the song, I knew it was THAT song. The song I had been looking for because I've always wanted to do a duet like this but just never found the right song.

Carlos: For me it was the same thing. A lot of people don't take me very seriously, y'know.

Sara: I don't....

Carlos *glares at her*

Sara: Just kidding!

Carlos: Anyway, A lot of people don't take me very seriously but I wanted to show my audience that I am not just about controversy and dance tracks and that I'm a true artist.

Sara: Bye guys!

Cold Hearted Love Music Video

The video for Leona Lewis' lead single premiered just now on MTV, and Vevo/YouTube. The video will immediately get promotion on Vevo. The video has been out for thirty minutes and has garnered a massive 1,000,000+ viewers already. The video has been met with praise from critics and fans.

VIDEO:
The video begins at what seems to be a funeral scene. People mourning are standing on either side of the open black casket. Tall rose bushes are on either side of the casket, (to the side of the mourning people). Everything freezes for a moment and on the camera appears Leona. She is walking towards the casket and shes wearing a black long dress with black lace sleeves and her hair is long and straight. When she begins to walk past flowers they die. They turn from a vivid red to dead black as she walks. People fall to their knees and die as she walks by and it continues. She keeps walking until she reaches the casket. In the open casket is Leona in the same dress except its a dark red. As she stares at her own dead body the red darkens slowly. The camera shot moves to the back of alive Leona and backwards, a beautiful shot of the dead flowers and people. The song starts and Leona is helping her beau bag some drugs (cocaine, weed, pills), stashing them away into bags as clips of her lover smoking and her watching pass by. Then when the pre chorus comes they're shown passionately kissing and in bed, her underneath him, close ups of her touching his skin. Then when the chorus hits they're shown arguing, loading guns and drugs into a bag. Then getting in a car (a mustang) they set off stopping on a street corner as she watches him get out the car and disappear. The music stops and for a moment Leona is seen reminiscing on old happy times as she's seen being in love with her boyfriend, her with her and family and more. She is then panicking when hearing gunshots and him returning to the car and them speeding away. Leona is demanding him to tell her what happened. (during second verse). She then assists him with some dealing, and she is seen with a machine gun shooting targets for her gangster lover. She looks like she's in despair when she sees her lover do a drive by. Leona's then shown kissing her lover passionately in the car before she comes home to find a man shoot her lover in the heart, her collapsing to the ground as the man flees, holding her love interests dead body in her arms, weeping as all fades to black. The video goes back to the beginning scene Leona standing in front of her dead body in the casket. Dead Leona's dress is still red and alive leona stares down intensely at the lifeless body. A close up of dead Leona's face is on the screen. It pans to a profile shot until it focuses on her eyes as they open, her eyes a lifeless gray.

"To Be Continued" is shown in a dark red font before fading to black

Leona Lewis arrived in Barcelona today as a part of the last part of promotion for Cold Hearted Love before her album releases Friday.


Alternate versions of Cold Hearted Love leak

Multiple versions of Leona's hit single 'Cold Hearted Love' have leaked. One version is a piano ballad much like the ones Leona has used in some performances. One very EDM and dated, Leona's vocals heavily autotuned. The other version that leaked was a very operatic version that's beautiful but in no way could compare and compete with the final version. Leona and her label have not commented on the leak.

Leona Lewis twerks and sings opera on La Voz Spain


Leona performed on La Voz de Spain (The Voice of Spain). Leona was the first guest performer of the new season. The performance started with Leona emerging from behind a giant red flashing heart. The heart kept blinking red until it turned a sold white and the screens turned black. Leona begin singing a ballad arrangement of the song. When the chorus approached violins and synths kicked in and a powerful bass drop happened before the original arrangement took over. Leona danced with her dancers who were dressed in black. In six inch heels Leona still worked the stage, getting down with her dancers to twerk to a snippet of (T)Werking To De Top featuring Celine Dion. Leona and her dancers twerked for about fifteen seconds before she screamed 'WORK BITCH' and Leona vogued to a dance break. She then hit opera notes before breaking out into Cold Hearted Love. Her dancers took off their shirts and threw them into the audience. They brought out some water canons and shot liquor into the audience and judges, Leona moving back because she didn't want her weave wet. She got a standing ovation.

It's my favorite from the whole album But discussing it upsets me because it could have been so much more successful. It fit Cold Hearted Love too which is why I used it. Part 2 of the video is much better than than part 1.

Carlos Pena ExGirlfreind VICIOUSLY Attacks Sara Quin



Carlos Pena broke up with his girlfriend a 2 weeks ago and she is not happy about it. The frustrated Actress/Singer Jamilla Velazquez took to twitter to drag Sara Quin and him and accuse Sara of ruining her relationship.

Reps from the singers and the singers themselves are yet to comment on Jamilla's cruel tirade.

MTV recently premiered the new Behind The Music documentary, with the main focus on Example. They went through his backstory, and showed how his musical career started.
(P.S. Sorry for the flop article, I've never watched an MTV behind the music because I couldn't find any on the interwebs )

Example performed at The Voice tonight, performing his new single Forget About Never.
The performance started off with the lights dim, and Example kissing his ex in a dim light. The rap then started, and he stood up on a levitated platform as started the rap performance, of which the aggresive tone of his voice documenting the mad lyrics.
As the chorus came, he pushed his girlfriend away and started to sing at the top of his lungs the anthemic chorus.
