“A friend of mine introduced us,” he revealed. “I was like, ‘Meryl Streep gave me a hug,’ and I was like, ‘Wow.’ Come on, who is better than Meryl Streep? Nobody’s better than Meryl Streep. And she’s pretty funny . . . All of the great actors are funny.” Although Rock did not elaborate on what Streep said to him that warranted Rock’s comedy endorsement, he added, “She can be hysterical.”
