Why are people blaming Apple when its clearly Drakes greed thats the problem here. Same with U2. They get greedy and put those $$$ checks before musical legacy.

Apple paid Drake $20 million to promote their service. Through their radio & being active on the radio and dropping throwaway tracks on it.
OBVIOUSLY months prior Drake had no intention on having a #1 hit as the album era was nowhere in sight. Hotline Bling happened because Apple Music. Drake would've never dropped it if he wasn't doing OVORadio on Apple Music. Therefore nothing is his fault; in fact he got his biggest hit because of the fact he signed the contract. If he never signed it then Hotline Bling would have never happened.
However, Apple DID make him lose out his #1 by not reporting the streams.
People really not realizing Drake signed the contract before Hotline was ever even created. He didn't shoot himself when the song never even existed then and NOBODY knew it would become this big.
Even with it still peaking #2 he's STILL won because he got the biggest hit of his career that wouldn't have happened without Apple Music, who ALSO gave him $20 million along with his biggest hit.
He's coming for blood in 2016 when the lead single / 2nd single drops. Apple contract will be up, Streaming (which he is King of) will be 102% powerful, and Adele & Taylor will have simmered down. Y'all really need to be worried about him blocking your faves in 2016.
