) to push down X-Men (Marvel's biggest seller in total comics year-on-year) by killing of Wolverine, and on F4 by cancelling that comic entirely because they want to make their MCU characters the central brands in order to keep their merchandising and box office revenues up and dent Fox (and Sony's) revenues in order to try get those brands back.
It may be unfounded... but Disney are notorious in buying up brands. They don't work with franchises or companies almost all the time, they buy them instead.
