Because she's established selling advantage everywhere else. Adding a separate in US is just an incentive for potential buyers (mainly a % of the ~350k that have bought the original). But elsewhere they know they can expect sales, therefore keeping it altogether. Plus that's more $$$. 'Cannibal' had OK sales (it was certified Gold; I don't recall it reaching 500k) but the fact BTD will likely pass it in sales without two smash hits (~8m combined sold) says enough that Lana's sales aren't a worry.
And again they haven't shown much interest in sales in US outside of discounts (that do help). So it's not about getting most sales possible, but just giving that option.
