They dont though. People only thought she was Mariah because of the raspy/whisper voices they do(which Ariana only uses periodically, not often), their music style being identical and probably the whistle notes. Other than those, I don't hear the similarities, take Put Your Hearts Up. I'd even say Problem.

I didn't like it though. The boots, dead ass crowd, Iggy strutting in delivering ha lines like shes bored. Utter mess.

I went from liking this song, to hating it, and loving it again within a year. I remember hearing this in an NY gift shop for the first time. I turned to my friend and said: "Oh, I didn't know Mariah had a new song out." 
Maybe her technique has extreme similarities but everything else, nope.
Lead single from album #3? 
It makes me feel superior and fierce whenever I listen to it. 
I don't know how the hell BLU, PS, Daydreamin, and YNK made the cut.
