We enter this Age of Substance (TM) with an oft-underrated poster...
48. Roger (I Got Soul)
If it weren't for another poster who once upon a time Typed Like This, Roger would be the best Canadian presence we've ever had here. He came with a pack of friends in 2004. An interesting study, he was a modern rock lover that also stanned hardcore for his Britney. (One of my fondest memories is his thread after he went to see the Onyx Hotel tour). But then, something tragic happened - because of outside forces (FROGGERT), most of his friends left. They abandoned him, and started their own forum/joined another one to bash ATRL. Did Roger pack it up and hightail it out of here? Nope! He stayed, quickly found a new obsession (the Killers) and became a stalwart, beloved presence in Music News and YTT. He still posts, and if he wanted it, he would be a perfect moderator.

I Got Soul isn't afraid to see crap Canadian music for what it is. I'm weak. I will admit that I do listen to Hedley sometimes, unfortunately.

47. Justin (GoldenBoy)
It's hard to believe, but ATRL was not so chart - obsessed. Well, we kinda were - we had recapes of TRL every day, but that was it. One day, somewhere in between fall 03 and winter 03-04, one enterprising soul changed all of this. There had been discussion on how some of our favorite pop stars were doing at radio ('Me Against the Music' had just ... underperformed), and people were curious as to how radio charts were compiled/tabulated. Justin, then (and always), known as GoldenBoy, found the first Mediabase chart and posted it here. It didn't even seem like a big deal back then; in retrospect, he fundamentally changed the (partial) function of this forum.
But that wasn't it. Justin was (and I think whoever will be #3 can back me up on this) one of the most attractive posters we've ever had here. He got along with everybody, and made it known that he wanted to be a singer. Almost all of the girls had slight crushes on him. Which was why, in a sea of gays, we were all caught completely off guard when he came out of the closet. It was maybe the most shocking outing this site has ever seen.
he kinda got less attractive and more used up after he came out though!

46. Jimbo (Buddhaful)
If everyone was under the impression that Justin was gay, imagine how shocked we all were to find out Jimbo was white! Jimothy (as I called him) was one soulfuly white boy, listening to all sorts of funky artists. He was (and probably still is) just cool. cool. There will probably never be a poster who combined dorkiness and suaveness so expertedly.
Best Moment: A perfect example of Jim's humor - someone came from Nivea's (remember her?!??!!?) forum and told us that she called some fans she disagreed with "******s." Jimbo went to her forum, and registered as "Why the Haterade, Nivea?"

And from Jimbo, we meet his exact opposite (in terms of composure) ...
45. Jeff (Zeo/VGM/wtfever)
Jeff was an asshole.
A mondo-asshole. He got off on being a mondo-asshole. This is not just my opinion, but the opinion of everyone who was here when he posted. He thought a lot of himself, but unlike some people (who are yet to come), he had little to nothing to back it up. He listened to Linkin Park for goodness sakes! LINKIN PARK. No one cries over his absence, but his assholeosity was so spectacular - and so singular - he had to place.
Best Moment: On Lil Wayne's line in 'Soldier' (can't see me on the block/I'm camouflaged), Jeff replied: Of course not, he's too dark .... (Or something to that effect.
I laughed.

53. Duca
I have to be honest - Duca really rubbed me the wrong way. I'm the first person to say that phrases like "I think" and "in my opinion" should be outlawed - you're speaking/typing, so of course it's your opinion! But Duca phrases everything so declaratively - even when he's WRONG (Girls Aloud aren't progressive? then why are they the most critically acclaimed girl group of the last decade?) - that it can be, and sometimes still is, a real turnoff. But that's what makes him memorable. Once you realize he's never going to change lmao I can't believe someone can hate rihanna because she was a victim of domestic abuse, but Duca can ..., it's a heckuva lot easier to tolerate him. Who knows, you can even learn to like him! It's hard to respect someone who doesn't see brit-brit for the dead-eyed heavily medicated slovely wallbeast she's become.

Kisuke was always going to be one of the hardest members to summarize, because kisuke is an enigma - and that's the way they like it. We don't know if kisuke is a man or a woman, young or old, black or white, gay or straight. We only know two or three things - they have a very strong interest in the grotesque, the random, and the Bey. Especially the Bey. They will kill for the Bey. In that respect, it almost reminds me of someone else ...

2010 has been an off-year for ATRL - everyone admits this. Pop music is at its worst right now, and so nobody wants to discuss anything. What has come of age this year? The art of stanning. There are at least five posters that have been mentioned that were all very important, but perhaps none has run the table - and been so unrivalled doing it - as Satelites. Say what you will about him, but he is HBIC. All the newbies defer to him, and some others attain coolness by hanging with him. He is KING right now, and that has to be considered important. He still has a ways to go (like finally understand that there is a difference between a singer with a wide range - and a great singer/understanding that some of the best pop stars have the weakest voices - and that's what makes them great), but I can't see anyone displacing him anytime soon.

Tierra, you'll know these next two. Two of the most erudite posters ever - one who left because ATRL was dead (in his opinion), and one who left after ... some shadiness.
44. Pandora
Pandora arrived around the same time as the Bush/Kerry election, right? Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me, but that's what I remember. IIRC, Pandora was the first ATRLer to post actual essays - few were the days when her posts only had two or three paragraphs. She was widely respected, because she was so verbose - and prolific. But she was also a wacky woman, and when she posted her picture, the most common reaction was this: Why does this very tan/dark woman insist on having blonde hair? Because we respected her so much, we refrained from bringing it up.
And then, I'm kind of cloudy on what happened - someone like TC could explain it best. Some things were said, and Pandy revealed her true colors - she went OFF on all of us and never returned. She's still not forgotten.
