Overtime, I've had 3 previous usernames that all pretty much were about the same thing: "IfICannotLove" was meant to say, 'If I cannot love, what is there left to life? How can you live?'. "IfICannot Love♥" was just a new form of that. The third, "Love ♥" was by far the corniest, and had no real meaning. It was just what it said it was: I'm full of love. However, this name was a bit of a lie, as I was full of hatred and anger throughout the time I had it. I needed to change again. I didn't want to be known as the little bitch who wished so hard to be sweet but yet was filled with so much rage.
So as of tonight, I changed my username to "Forget the Loved". Sadly, it's a typo. I wanted it to be "Forget the Loves".
This newest username is meant to be a redemption, saying "Forget about my past usernames. They are dead to me. I'm trying to change now, for the better."
I no longer want to be the mess I was. I want to be seen as a new person, in a new light. I want to really be a new person now, to be calm and sane rather than the horror I was that was desperate for relevancy and to be seen as a "bad bitch".
I am moving on from "IfICannotLove", "IfICannot Love♥" and "Love ♥". I really hope this username helps everyone else I know move on with me, and support me throughout the rest of my time on this game and on ATRL.
Thank you.

So basically my original e-mail address on aol was Burnttoast (this was like 3rd grade?). I had some stupid obsession with toast because back then I was the "class clown" and apparently it doesn't take much to make nine year olds laugh, because lord knows the word toast isn't all that funny in retrospect (smh). It basically stuck all the way through and all my usernames are some variation of the word Toast or include the word toast. My initial atrl username was toastyrokr...I think I just chose that because I thought Toast would be too generic...and I wasn't aware that you could have all caps usernames.
I love having TOASTY, because it stands out and is "loud" like myself (no cheesy rihanna pun intended). I want people to know that I don't take myself too seriously on these forums (and I don't encourage anybody else to take it seriously, either ), and a LOT of my posts are all in good fun. I don't want to anger anybody in my posts and I try to keep it as cute as possible because while I can seem bitchy in my posts, it's more or less part of my humor and should be taken with a grain of salt. If you don't like me, I tend to just overlook you (there are certain moments in which I've gotten carried away, which I've worked on)...ok I'm rambling .
Long story short TOASTY is fun, silly and bold...and that's what I try to do in my posts on atrl and in my outside life. I love to be the life of the party, and I love to see people smile. I hope my posts are reflective of that...and if they aren't, well...suck my toastinessss

So, I believe it's fair to start with my first incredibly messy username, dvntrcks. As KoreanDream once put it, "drivng trucks." The "dvn" represents my first name, Devin. The second part resembles tracks, because in late 2010 and early 2011 I developed an interest in music production and thought it'd be cool to use some music programs and make remixes for songs and stuff. Unfortunately, I lack the patience for any of that nonsense, and quickly grew into a phase of hatred towards my username. It was so tacky and basic and I looked like a mess with it.
So at one point last year, Athens released a username change thing where you could revise your username, which I took part in (due to my tacky/basic username). After a ton of debating, I decided to revise it to "DvnR." First, I capitalized cause that was one of my big gripes with my username: the lack of capitalization irked me. Also, while the Dvn stands still for Devin, the R has taken a new meaning: Rihanna, the mother majah (being a part of the majestic Navy and all). And that's the story of my username. Sorry it's kinda long, but it gets the point across.

My ex boyfriend and actually one of my best friends he's from Canada, since the first time he came to Colombia he has not stopped coming every three-four months. I met him 4 years ago and we lasted together 8 months, we broke up in 2009 but we built a solid friendship. Since then he has known many guys from Colombia and he has had at least 5 relationships. When he comes here he rents a nice apartment in one of the best and most exclusive zone here in Cartagena and he stays there with his boy, me and invites two or three friends more to share with him. But what happen when you put 6-7 gay guys living together? yap the Dramz show up And the coexistence here can be a chaos.
We've had a lot "scenes" in the last 2 years and for the intensity of some we decided to be the "Colombian -gay- version" of Jersey Shore cuz we were like a big gay family but at the same time we've been the baddest bitches with each other, so according our personality we picked up roles. Mine was JWoww, because the others say "Jack: You're not going to party" and i say "You righ...i'm not going to party, I am the party" and because i'm Doug's oldest friend my voice makes a big echo so i'm able to kick some asses. The guys always tell me that even for going to the corner i need to be WOWW (Guao in the colombian way) and always got the radar on beside that Jenni is bitchy, exotic, valient, cocky but good friend, and honest i saw myself in her and next to snooki Jenni is my fav Jersey castmate.
I changed my name on Facebook and Twitter I went from Jack to Jwoww, but here in Colombia jersey shore had been premiered recently not many people knew the meaning of my name, so when they asked me about it, I said: "J is from Jack (my name) and Woww because I'm woww. So Jack + Woww= Jwoww. Easy look for it in the dictionary and you will find: Hot as Hell!" And they really loved it. I found ATRL in 2009, when Shakira released "She Wolf" and as a good Stan i was looking for chart info, logevity and things like these, i landed on ATRL but i didn't sign up until one year later (2010) cuz i felt lost with the slang here (I've learnt english by myself) so i used to see it like a place where people spoke an unknown english.
I was ashamed to seem so "basic" but i got better in time that I signed up.
Doug had been recently in november (one month before my sign up) so i was in the Jwoww mode and i think "okey, i'm new here and i've seen people with names related with their favs, or famous people so I will use a special one that everybody knows, this way when they think about it or mention it inmediately they can think of me too" Jwoww was perfect, back then it was very popular. And being my username on facebook, twitter, Gmail why not ATRL? I also though that it was not original enough cuz obviously I knew that Jwoww already exists and Jenni was the first and recognized owner of it, so i added 310, my Birthday (3/october) for making it Fierce but also felt it as mine (and for avoiding copyright also)
I know Jwoww will be irrelevant in some years (Then i will need a ATRL+ Account) and a few people will remember Jersey Shore, but when I remember Jenni punching Situation & Sammi and hooking up with Pauly i feel like in heaven and so proud of my username. She got the beauty and the attitude so she could be easily a TOP MEMBER!

He soon connected with the soft voice, the experimental sounds and the fun, carefree and revolutionary message of those bands and that society, who was starting to open to the new world after forty years of military dictatorship and isolation.
As he enjoyed those 25-years old musical gems, their parents would gift him a radio for his room and he started to listen to international pop acts. He remembers what was being played hard those days: some Toxic, some Hung Up, some She Will Be Loved. Meanwhile, his mother would listen to Barbra Streisand and Whitney Houston's greatest songs everyday on the car. Barbra's Papa, Can You Hear Me? was the first song which really moved him without even understanding the lyrics and he begged his mother for a translation.
When he was around 13-14, he traveled to Madrid, the biggest city of his country, where he watched a musical for the first time: Cats. He loved it, just like he loves now performance art, and his connection with pop culture and pop art was stronger than ever.
Four years later, this boy would find himself in a pop culture forum under the name of GiveMeThatPop. Music, pop music, was always an important part of his life - and that's what he wants.

I am Rapidash.
Well, I used to be. Cue semi-embarrassing back-story.
When I was around ten, I decided to step-up from browsing Neopets and sign up on a forum instead. And seeing as I was a bigger fan of Pokemon than Avril Lavigne back then (I mean, Sapphire shat ALL OVER Under My Skin) I signed up on a Pokemon forum, and decided to take the simple, standard route of using my favourite Pokemon as my username. Fast forward two years and in my pre-teen state I convince myself that "Rapidash" was a childish choice that needs changing.
After begging a moderator to let me change it to something that fit my older, wiser self, I sit down to decide on a new one. And what do I do? I pick up the damn dictionary and flip to the back of it where all the cool words starting with “x”, “y” and “z” are. After deciding that the only decent option, “Zorilla” (oh, no you can’ t make this stuff up) wasn’t good enough, I moved forward to "v".
And then, I found it. Vulpine.
Quote:
vul•pine
adj.
1. Of, resembling, or characteristic of a fox.
2. Cunning; clever.
Surely I could pull this off? And it was so pleasing to say as well. So I changed my username to that. And then left the site a week after in a fit of rage at the administrators closing off my favourite section of the forums. However, I had made friends on this site after my years of visiting it, and we all still stuck together on deviantArt, Subeta () and our own fun little forum…icanhaszigzagoons. I apologize in advance if one of the judges isn’t too keen on Pokemon and thus didn't see the humour behind that. To make it clearer, Zigzagoon is a Pokemon. Looks a bit like a Zorilla, actually.
Anyway, like with all people, "Vulpine" became too much of an effort to type out and it was then shortened to "Vulps" by my friends. And that became my identity. In the end, none of my usernames, past or present, actually represent who I am as a person (no matter how much my 13 year old self would like to believe with “Vulpine”). "Vulps" is just something that people who I’ve grown to love call me by, and I use it everywhere because it’s become a second name to me. I use this one username on every site I frequent because it literally just stands for me, and I quite like it that way.

Before I start, let me clarify one thing. No, I am not a real monkey.
The reasoning behind my username is solely because monkeys are my favorite animals. Since I was in kindergarten, I have always loved monkeys. They are very intelligent animals, which is a quality I admire. I was born in 1992, which is also the year of the monkey according to the Chinese Zodiac. I am not Chinese, but this is something that has always stuck with me.
M - Modest; I do not make ignorant claims about my favorite singers. I do not make "reaching" statements about anyone.*
O - Open-minded; I am an open-minded poster because I am able to see multiple sides of an argument. If a *controversial topic arises on ATRL, I love to read and learn about it. I am open to liking any artist a chance, regardless of their music genre.
N - Natural; on ATRL, I don't pretend to be someone I'm not. My Internet personality is the same as my real life personality. I do not act a certain way so people will notice me. I am real.
K - Kayoot; I know how to keep it "kayoot." I am not a messy poster. Personally, I *always try to post with proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
E - Eager; I always look forward to discussing my favorite singers and songs with people who have similar tastes and interests.
Y - Youthful; I love to have fun on ATRL. I always joke with my fellow Selena Gomez stans. I dislike being serious all the time. Fun topics and games are what interests me.

I have been lurking on ATRL for about 3/4 months before i joined and i kinda wanted a name at the time that would make me stand out to the navy to draw peoples attention so i thought about it. Rihanna has been slaying the charts and thats undeniable also as much as i hate stan wards and getting in arguments if u shade the good sis RiRi i will come for you and bite your sorry ass. I joined that with Rihanna's name with the obvious Navy section and SHAZAM!! You have Slayanna Navy. The name represents me well in some ways, i am first and foremost a member of the Navy however its quite restricting considering i also support other artists so the Navy part can be slightly daunting at times. The capitals are really unneeded and i hate the Navy part now but its pretty in your face so i guess thats a bonus

'Ammer' surprisingly has a bit of history behind it. The creation of the username goes back to when I was 12 years old, and in Grade 8. It was a normal day in class, and suddenly one of the boys in my class began to call me "Ammer Jammer" (pronounced 'A-MUR JAY-MUR'). The other boys in the class decided to join in, and soon the nickname began to spread around class and eventually, the entire grade.
I thought the nickname was silly, but at that time, I felt pretty happy that I had the "coolest" nickname in the grade. I'm still not sure why it was seen as cool, but as an adolescent, any form of acceptance was extremely important to not only me, but my fellow peers. It felt great that my peers seemed to praise me for the nickname, and it even started a new trend where others began to create two word nicknames ("Jade Jewel", "Sup Nick"). Unfortunately for these people, it never caught on. The entire memory seems silly to me now, but it meant a lot at that time.
When signing up for this forum, I wanted to create a unique nickname and "Ammer Jammer" popped in my mind. I personally felt "Jammer" was immature, and decided to drop it in favor of "Ammer" on its own. As a 23 year old male in graduate school, I felt it's important to project a more mature image. I feel (as silly as this may sound) that even thought this is a fun internet forum, it's important to have those few members to present themselves as rational, and mature so as to provide some sort of modelling for the younger, more impressionable members.
This is why I've chosen the username "Ammer" as I feel it represents my emotional, psychological, and academic aspects of myself in my present life.

I didn’t really have to think about what my username should be. I’ve always found myself interested in owls and they were the only birds that truly stood out to me They’re unlike any other bird/creature that I’ve seen with my own eyes and something about them just attracts me. I spent a few days lurking ATRL, but I knew what would be my username ... Owl. I didn’t really see anyone posting with a name that included an animal or a bird, so I had a feeling that my username would stand out and I didn’t mind. Also, it’s pretty obvious that I love owls and this year’s top member will be an owl.
Here’s a little extra: I used to visit another forum that centered in making sprites and things of that nature and my avatar was a picture of an owl. I actually checked the website the other day and I still have that avatar.

Yes, I am talking about the legendary Bon-Qui-Qui. Not only has she slayed me and brought me back to life with his video, but it has quite an impact of my life.
From the minute I first viewed this epicness, I could not stop quoting her. For example, if I were talking to my aunt and my sister came up to me and asked me a question, I would say "U see may in a convasasheen? Don inarupt, ru". I used to be the most timid child of the 6th grade, since I moved to a completely different town. The day after watching the video, it's like everyone's jaw dropped open at my drastic change in personality. I gained a numerous amount of friends at my school (especially the black girls ). My parents were even a bit concerned and told me I transformed into an utter "hoodlum".
I am so much more confident, outgoing, and talkative these days. That's why I didn't have to think about a username when first discovering this amazing website. It's like Bon Qui Qui breathed fresh air into me. Because of it, I gained a new perspective in life: to live each day to the very fullest, for tomorrow is not promised.

Over three years ago, I created a Youtube channel titled Geographsyco because of my love of the world. After a few months however, I realized that this name was kind of convoluted (It took my 30 minutes to try and find my old channel today. ) and my Youtube channel wasn't exactly "booming", so I stopped updating my channel and this old name came to rest.
Nearly a year after this, I decided that I wanted to create a new channel under a new name. I wanted to name myself something that would be reminiscent of my past "lost" channel, but seemed more current and unique. I was apparently feeling a little overconfident in my expertise of Geography and decided on TheGeoKing as my new name for my Youtube channel.
After this, my music obsession soon emerged as some of my friends (in real life), began to introduce me to various artists such as Florence + the Machine, Drake, Lil Wayne (), and Rihanna. Over time I began to get more and more into the music world and decided that I would create a weekly Top 50 of my favorite songs called Geo's Top 50. I created my first video on 4/24/10, and I still make them today (just reached 100 videos a few weeks ago ).
Then around October 2010, I began to run out of new music to put in my Top 50s that I thought was "acceptable". so I began to search the internet for a new source of music news. I found atrl in October and joined under the name "TheGeoKing" since it was the name for my Youtube Channel. I have liked atrl ever since and it has really helped me find new and incredible music.

There are certain problems that come with being a very shy first grader when the time for yearbook distribution comes.
First, everyone who signs your yearbook will say you're "very nice." And that's it. And being "very nice" is one of the worst things you can be in first grade. It means that that's all they think you are -- your fellow students know absolutely nothing about you. You're that shy, studious, unusually tall blonde kid, and the most thought provoking thing that your peers have learned about you throughout the entire year is that you're fairly easy-going and you don't cause trouble. Essentially, you've failed to make a lasting impression.
The second is the realization that your classmates never learned how to spell your name. Granted, you're in first grade, so they probably can't even spell the cool kids' names, but the two problems seem deeply connected in your first grade mind.
My name is Evan. They spelled it wrong, and in the worst, least sensible way possible. They spelled it Even.
Even. What kind of insultingly wrong misspelling? I could understand Evin. Evan usually sounds like “ev – IN” in the typical Chicago accent, so Evin I was fine with. But Even. Like even? “ee-VIN.” It was just too wrong. Was the lasting impression they had of me that I was a conjunction?
So, since then, I suppose, to be a bit overdramatic, I’ve reclaimed Evan and all its glorious, first-grade-heart-crushing misspellings. When second grade came around, I made sure to be a bit more outgoing, and that growth continued throughout my elementary school career and beyond. I swore I’d make them remember me eventually, even if they can’t always get my name’s spelling quite right.
So I have Evun, not-quite-Evan-but-perfectly-good-too.

A username that doesn't stand out, nor does it show great potential at first look, but it has its meaning behind it.
JOSH. My real name. JOSHUA to be exact. This was the name which shows who I am, being the Hebrew translation for JESUS which is my savior and my hero. And because of this, I am proud of this name. Proud enough to put it in my username.
923. Several people use numbers in their usernames, some see it as useless or irritating, but this one has its meaning. I was born on SEPTEMBER, the 9th month of the year, on the 23rd to be exact. I recognize this as the day when I was born for a certain passion, MUSIC.
This has been used as my username in all my accounts back then such as Facebook, and others. And now, ATRL. I wasn't hesitant to even put those in my username. The underscore, though, was just used to connect JOSH and 923 cause I thought that spaces can't be used in usernames However, I do not regret anything, because this shows who I really am.
