I don't remember what I did off hand, but my creative juices were really flowing when I did it.
Good luck and I hope we make it to the finish line together

Pokemon Leaders
Concept: A twist on the "Gym Leaders battles"
You are a Pokemon trainer. You'll battle against other Pokemon trainers (online) and with every win, you will gain exp. and level up. Once you have reached a certain level, you will then be able to challenge a Gym leader (who will be an actual player) - Beat that player and you will obtain the badge and become the new Gym leader.
From there on out, you will face off other pokemon trainers who will challenge you for your badge (your position). If they beat you, they will become the new leader of that gym. However, if you are able to hold off enough trainers, you can then challenge other gym leaders for their postion. Keep rising up the ranks and you'll gain a spot in the Elite Four and then the Pokemon Champion.
There will be seasons and each season will last four weeks, to allow diversity and balance.
To allow a greater chance of gaining a Gym position/Making Elite Four/Pokemon Champion - There will be different regions from across the Pokemon world you can play in. (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, and Alola)
At the start of the game, you will get to select your standard starter pokemon. Before every battle, both players will have ten pokemon randomly selected, but the player will only be able to pick 5 (5 + your starter pokemon) to head into the battle with.
For 100 coins, you can swap your starter Pokemon.
You will gain 5 coins per Pokemon battle win - With the choice to buy packs of coins at prices to be released later in detail.
Appeal:
An online game you can play on your mobile/tablet/DS -
Cross play, so no matter what device you're playing on, you'll be able to battle your friends even if they don't have the same device.
Free to play! Competitive! Fun to play with friends!
Promotional Strategy:
1. Announce Pokemon Leaders at Nintendo Direct
2. Within the first two months of release, reach level 20 and get a 55% discount code to apply to the next main Pokemon game
3. Release 10 new Pokemon exclusively to Pokemon Leaders first

a smartphone specifically designed to play Pokemon games! Not only will it include all the current available pokemon games, but it will also give you access to new pokemon games weeks in advance! Your friends will be so jealous.
Appeal
The appeal is Pokemon! It is the brand and anything with Pokemon's name on it will garner the attention of fan boys and they will flock to it and buy it.
The phone will be available on all networks (Verizon, AT&T, etc.) so it will be easy to buy.
Promotional Strategies
Since Asia, Europe, and North America are the biggest markets for Pokemon we will design specific advertisements for their countries! The ads will be played on streaming services and television. I believe airing the ad during the Super Bowl will be the perfect spark into the *viral world* that we need to launch this product.
Another promotional strategy we could use would correlate with Pokemon Go.. We could have high level pokemon that can only be unlocked by purchasing the phone. This will definitely bring in the frustrated users who are tired of waiting for their pokemons to evolve.
My personal favorite promotional strategy we could use is working with CrunchyRoll, an anime streaming service! Since Pokemon is an anime surely the fans would love this streaming service, right? So we'll include a free subscription with the purchase of the phone!
Design:
Since the most popular pokemon are: Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charzard, and Squirtle
we will design specific templates for these pokemon
*customization can definitely be discussed
Estimated Cost:
The components and manufacturing cost of a 16GB PokePhone cost $200.10
The device could sell for $649 in the U.S. without a contract with a wireless carrier. That gives the device a profit margin of about 69%

Pokemon's "Create, Grow and Win" is a new game to be published by Nintendo later this year. What this game brings new to the "game" is that you now will finally be able to interact more than ever with your Pokemon!
As part of the "Create" process, your Pokemon will finally be more personal than ever. This time you are not going to play with any of the Pokemon we have made over our long journey. Instead, you will be making your own by adding different features from the already known Pokemon or from new ones that we will bring with each update. You will be able to change colours, styles and, what is the most exciting, their types). You can combine two of the already well-known types of Pokemon on your own! With the new update, we will also bring new types like wind or earth. Exciting, right? And, if that was not enough, you will be able to combine two already known Pokemon characters for the first time! Imagine a Pikachu and a Jigglypuff! Weird, but fun! In the free version you only get to make three Pokemon, while in the paid one the number is unlimited!
The "Grow" part of the game starts right after you create your Pokemon. Here is a Tamagotchi-inspired phase. A baby Pokemon (so a younger version of the one you created before, which will be the later adult) would appear on your screen. During the entire game you have to take care of it, which means feeding him berries and making it drink water or tea. You also have to shower it, clean it and pet it. Notifications will appear on your device when your Pokemon feels the need of something. Don't forget to give him medicine when he catches a cold.
The "Win" part includes different types of "mini"games that you can play with your Pokemon (while taking care of him separately of course). Some of these include the already known "battles", including battles with gym leaders, which everyone likes! In addition to that, they will be able to participate in races (along with you, as a trainer), similarly to this. This is a totally new feature to the Pokemon world. You win by tapping the right button at the right time. What is more is that you will be able to participate in card games (you start with a 5-cards deck and get more by winning these games). By participating in these competitions, you will win tickets, which will allow you to participate in the "Weekly Tournaments" which are basically bigger versions of the games mentioned above, where you will also be featured in a leaderboard. The higher you get, the more points you win, points with which you buy your Pokemon different food, drinks or upgrade its appearance.
The game appeals mainly children 3-12 who are attracted to new things at any time, and allowing them to do their own Pokemon is only gonna be a new, exciting experience for them. A child likes to customize things and make them their own, and this is just the perfect way, now that they can adjust their Pokemon the way they want. Of course, the others should not be ignored either, as the games, with new, improved graphics, and their competitive spirit can attract many teenagers. With new regions where they can participate in battles and races, the youngsters are going to enjoy the innovative nature of the game a lot. Think of it as an improved Pokemon game, that reunites and improves old features, and adds new ones as well.
To promote the game, the premium version will have a 50% sale in the first week, which will attract the fans a lot, given their passion about the Pokemon series. Posters would be put worldwide in front of all shops where the Nintendo consoles are being sold, along with their games, of course. The game will be able to be purchased on Nintendo via their Download Software, as well as on iOS and Android, via their respective stores. These stores will display the game on their "Featured" pages as well. The last plan that the company has is to organize meetings for the Pokemon fans in Japan, US, UK, France, Brazil & China, where everyone would play "Pokemon - Create, Grow and Win". A new "room" would be created especially for that event, and the players would need a password (so they must join the event in order to play in that special room).
We hope that you like our proposal for this new game and that you are ready to play it!

You would still be losing money and with production costs.. 50% off is terrible for a new product. That's a technique that should only be used when sales aren't steady or when they're extremely amazing.
