Amazing post. I love Gaga, but I (sadly) have to admit this is true. If she breaks away from her character, she'll lose her "little monsters", which her (music) career is most reliant on.

I've never read something further from the truth. Sure, she'll always support gays, but Lady Gaga is an interface that allows Stefani to be anyone and do anything. Her image and her sound have been anything but static, as bad as people wish to believe so.
In "Bad Romance" she alters whoever Lady Gaga the Pop Star might be into any number of female types-- at times recalling Britney Spears, Madonna, an Anime character, Angelique, Christina Aguilera, and Amy Winehouse. In that sense, she's a perfect 21st century pop icon-- a regular person willing to manipulate herself into whatever it takes at any given moment to be a star.
I disagree. Gaga's also known for re-invention and that's why she's still able to do anything she wants visually and musically. It just needs to be appealing enough, but that's another discussion.

I love how people who still like Gaga are still tryina to discredit her career. Like the woman is successful whether you like her or not and she isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Her fans and the GP alike both have their pros and cons about her but in the end, she's gonna win. Regardless of whther you feel her image or her sound or her whole persona in general is a gimmick, she's gona win regardless.
Just like when everyone said she's gonna be a one hit wonder, she wound with 3albums going on 4 with 5 Grammys. Like just get used to her already. Seriously.
