It's true, and really annoying. Any of the particularly negative articles I've read devote at least half the article to bashing Gaga and BTW instead of ARTPOP...

The low score doesn't surprise me tbh. I liked Gaga's old material but this album is almost completely unlistenable for me. Applause and DWUW are abysmal and Venus isn't much better - the only song on the album that I bought and absolutely love is Gypsy.
6/10 is not a bad score, at least not for me, so i don't get why people are freaking out. I rated most of my favourite albums this year in 6.5-7.5 range. Maybe I'm just a tough critic.
But then again, I wouldn't rate artpop higher than 4.5/10
