Such a nice song.

Ghetto Children deserved top 20. As for glow it's pretty average and should've gone a while ago.
Hooch is okay.

There's only like...3 bad songs left right? Flashback, Roller Rink & Good Stuff then it's all 8-10's leaving. Please make them the next 3.

It's true though
I'm still sad the lil' gems I found in Wanderland (Perfect Day, Digital World, Get Even) aren't the trinity from it in this rate. Flashback is such a flog.

It's a pleasant track and would make a much better closer than the one we actually got but... 23? A bit high don't you think? The fluttering at the start is actually my favourite part, but the chorus is pretty alright. Song length messiness is at play here again as it could be a solid bit shorter. Love the plane noises throughout though.
Diarrhoea is not a big fan at all, "I can't really think of why, but this is clearly the least brilliant on the album", but ECNEICSNOC disagrees entirely, thinking it is "30 seconds too long but otherwise perfect."

This doesn't deserve to be so high

omg #23 for this song.
It certainly would have been a better album closer... but it's really just there - there's nothing better about this song than I Want Your Love & No Turning Back I honestly got them confused throughout this rate so much they all sound the same. It should have left when they did tbh

The irony of me campaigning so hard for this album only to be one of the lower scores on it's second-last song. I don't even know why cus it's actually quite cute. If I was a less honorable rate host I would've changed my score to get it that Top 20 place but alas. The song itself has a very nice throwback feel to it and the little quirks in the production are so pretty. It's a little 'colour-by-numbers' though, kind of predictable.
ECNEICSNOC is a big supporter here, "Such a sweet love song. The last verse/bridge is one of the best things Kelis ever put to wax." Well, any praise for KWH is welcome. More acclaim for Diarrhoea, "Is this her best song? Probably not, but it's her best 'slow' song. It also sounds exactly like another ballad that I cannot name for the life of me, but at least it does it well." Mmm, living proof indeed. Staunch haters of the album like Latinazza even give it praise, "Actually not too bad; it has a nice ol' school sound."

You can all ROT
Glow is a masterpiece, Top 5 in her discography without question and an instant highlight from Tasty.
It's such a sweet, happy song, but doesn't fall into being basic, with great production and vocals on Kelis' part. More Food tracks, and In The Morning can leave SHARPISH

How many of you were expecting this?
The fourth and final single from Flesh Tone didn't alight charts anywhere, except Belgium (I think? Belgian charts are confusing af) but has remained a fan favourite. It had an understated (read: boring) music video to match with some vibration effects to accompany the track. It was recorded in Simlish for the Sims though #winning
This is a really cool track that forms a nice couplet with the following track that shows just how Kelis has grown over the years. This is the rougher side, the more abrasive with it's lyrics and production. It's a bit deeper (used loosely) than some of the other songs on the album while retaining the catchiness of them. I like it a lot but I think this is good enough for it.
Diarrhoea is a rabid stan for this and will fight the Baby stans, "This deserves all the praise that Song For The Baby's gonna get. Perfect lyrics to match the whole ecstasy-of-motherhood theme that really comes through on this album, and this song especially. It's also not as cloyingly on the head as SFTB, so..." Is it not? Really? ECNEICSNOC is just happy to bop to it though, "This song definitely gets me through my workouts. I’m such a gay."
