Video goes in! I see this boosting sales and streaming significantly, once it goes to YouTube in a few days.

Video is dope. I wish they would upload it direct to Youtube. Tidal is so useless.

No Limit is doing pretty well on radio, but its upsetting how its underperforming on iTunes. Wish Crash would some how get revived too.

Usher needs much more promotion and he also needs some features like Rihanna, Drake etc. or as a feature on their songs, otherwise it will not easy for him.
He can still get a hit song, I Don't Mind proved it. It would be a start like Yeah! but they were not smart enough to use this as a start for a new era. With a dope music video for IDM, everything would be easier for Usher now.

I don't think its a doom and gloom as it was 2 years ago. Both "No Limit" and "Crash" responded very well with the critics and whatever fanbase he currently has. This is a night and day improvement over "Good Kisser" and "She Came to Give it to You", which did not gel well with his fans or the critics. "No Limit" is already doing better than both with less promotion.
"I Don't Mind" leaked in summer of 2014, before She Came even got released and it took months for it to take off. Thing is, Usher isn't a viral artist anymore. Sure Timberlake or Beyonce can still do it, but they maintained their images differently.
"No Limit" has been slowly rising on Billboard every week. Once it has a drop, then it would be a time to be concerned. "Crash" was not successful, but if he promotes more during September, we can maybe see it being salvaged. At the moment, it appears as though the team really want to capitalize on the movie, the events in September and "No Limit" to generate buzz for him and his album. That thing is definitely going to Tidal exclusive for a while, and it seems like Usher wants a hit single being everywhere more than a high selling album, especially by today's standards. It's appalling that Looking 4 Myself still doesn't have updated numbers or confirmation that it went Gold or Platinum. It must have had enough sales/streams by now.
Anyway, that's just my take on the matter. Maybe his team really don't give a flying **** but he's under Scooter Braun now, something must be happening.

If he really wants a huge hit song then he must release a song which is like a radio/club anthem. IDM got all the boost/hype because it was like a stripper/club anthem or like I wrote he needs to work with Rihanna, Drake, Beyonce etc.
No Limit and Crash are good songs, especially for his own fans, but not for everyone. Just look at Justin Bieber, he releases lately good songs, which can be played everywhere.

That's what he tried to do with Crash, a song that spans multiple formats and can be played both on urban, pop and dance radio, while staying true to his style of music that the majority of his old fans would adhere to but it hasn't done well on radio at all thus far.
Every time Usher has gone for a club/party record, he tends to alienate his fanbase, which confuses me to no end. He needs an up-tempo record but I'm guessing his team don't want to over-saturate the market with too many singles. We'll likely get one more single before the album comes out and it'll either make it or break it.
I agree, he should've released a track with Rihanna or Drake while they were hot. But at the end of the day, if he doesn't want to, can't do anything about it. Looking 4 Myself for example begged for a Rihanna feature.
I remember way back in 2010 he was saying how he has been talking to Rihanna and Pitbull to make songs together. Pitbull worked and Rihanna never did, wonder why.

No Limit video is uploaded on Vevo now.
I think it's definitely a major improvement since... really long time.

I love the video, but Usher has become super lazy when it comes to promotion and his craft. His mother would have never allowed his laziness to get this far.
