Definitely great lyrics/flow. (Great lyrics can make a song catchier by rhyming a lot and using assonance and alliteration. Great lyrics aren't only noticeable on paper.)

Nicki is able to make a song interesting, even if it has a basic beat, in some cases it even helps to put more focus on the rapping (Feeling Myself, Only).

I mean, production is important too, but I need something that I can rap along to and learn by heart.

I thought Willy meant as in lyric substance (meaning). If he didn't, then I take back my comment cause flow, delivery, rhyming schemes > production. I mean just look at BAB. Such a simple and monotone beat but she rides it so well.

But the best thing is when both the vocals and beat are on POINT. Look at Shanghai!!!
