I mean it's good for our fanbase (that suffered a lot the past few years of waiting for Anti + the no promo thing), but if it's really true the watchers will just think VMAs couldn't afford any other performers and will be like "Rihanna again? "

I am more here for either 2 performances - opening and closing or one big performance.

Anyway I have huge expectations....I want everything to be top notch and iconic & Rihanna being praised left and right by celebs on Twitter and the media. That would be really nice, cos people still doubt her live performing talent & say she lacks iconic TV performances.

I'm surprised the studio that owns Star Trek would let her ignore the song like she did I mean I doubt that video was cheap considering all the effects and its 5k World wide sales and 30m youtube views is hardly good promotion for the film

Anyway two performances would be great. An ANTI medley opening + close to the end of the show a biggest hits medley followed by the Vanguard.

I'm reading everywhere "opens the show" tho... 4 performances would be messy and kinda try hard, I don't see how it would work.
