Sun and Moon are practically the same game except that it's night time in Moon and day time in Sun. And with the GTS getting version exclusives isn't even difficult anymore. Pick whatever one you want
---
In other news, the iOS game, Mario Run, costs $10.
Nintendo will be alienating the casuals with this expensive ass game

Considering most games are like $1 shovelware and people are accustomed to that price. It does seem quite shockingly expensive

Wii games on Wii U VC being 20 bucks teas. Nintendo really hurt themselves by never lowering the prices of their games, bar a few they've already made enough money from.

I totally forgot there was a Nintendo base on this site, let me bookmark it.
Currently I'm playing Skyward Sword for the first time because I never had an original Wii myself. I'm about 35 hours in and ready to call it quits after being asked to run around Faron Woods for the THIRD time to collect parts of the song. Was anyone else severely disappointed by it?

Squidward Sword was cute, but not anything shocking or amazing. I think a lot of its hype was based on the Wii Motion Plus and the fact that it's the first game in the timeline.
Although (end-game story spoilers)
Impa being revealed as the old lady at the temple had me SCALPED

I guess my reaction to it all was adverse because I was expecting something so outstanding. I like the motion controls for the bow and sword but everything else was kinda overused.

But sigh, Zelda at launch could have been the Switch's saving grace. They should have pulled a Twilight Princess Wii/GC release, sending it to Wii U a few months later for anyone that doesn't want to upgrade yet.

So the queen of reliability, Emily Rogers, has confirmed Pikmin 4 will be out in the first year of the Switch.
Pikmin 4 will be GOTY 2018

Laura Dern. She leaked most of the Switch info before Emily Rogers snatched it and claimed it as her own.

If the rumors are true and Zelda is not a launch title, the backlash will be unreal and worse the further out it is. Mario, Splatoon, and Skyrim are not enough to warrant a day one purchase, so I hope they have more up their sleeves if these "leaks" are factual. Wii U launch lineup was piss poor (and the catalog honestly did not warrant a purchase until 2014). They should know better than to repeat history.
Pikmin, Smash, Mario Kart, a 3D Mario, Zelda, and Splatoon within the first year makes me wonder what the rest of the Switch's life will bring with all these Nintendo heavy hitters allegedly coming out so early in the life cycle.

I mean it'll be fine as long as even Nintendo themselves don't abandon the console like they did after 2014. SM3DW and MK8 were truly outstanding games, but while Nintendo had the chance to release next games in the series they just skipped it. Hopefully it was a wise tactic and they've just ported what they had over to the Switch but Nintendo really seem to be taking their time with first part games nowadays which sucks.
Honestly I genuinely think something like Super Mario Galaxy 3 would launch the console super well. Nintendo need to start seeing where the demand is and responding, I think it would win a LOT of people over. I know they can struggle considering the creativity already there and trying to top it but I'd rather they wasted a while trying to get more ideas for a game of that vein than churning out more 2D platformers.

Skyward Sword was cute but the part before Leviathan where you have to hit a certain number of targets in 1 minute is absolutely impossible. I never made it past that The motion controls aren't tight enough, and great gameplay is the #1 thing you expect from a Nintendo game.
Paper Mario Color Splash has turned out to be really cute. Still not loving the cards, but they're easy enough to get that it doesn't really put a damper on the experience.

I thought I had to get 12 targets for that trial and I cleared the 10th with 3 seconds left so my RELIEF when it said I passed. I did it first try though, it wasn't nearly as finicky or annoying as the Silent Realm trials or fighting The Imprisoned for the 2nd/3rd times.
