TOTGA is the one that got away now at the VMA's too...  I know it's not a big deal, but it should have been nominated for best pop video, now it is her only TD video that didn't get any recognition. And it deserves it more than some actual nominees. Nevertheless, I am happy for WA and hope it wins something. And I am also happy it increased on radio. Queen.

u guys i just realized katy has never performed at the vmas in the main stage, beside introducing russell in 09'. she performed in 08' but she was just a side stage performer, didnt even show the full performance. also shes been nominated for best female video 5 years in a row and has never won. ;/

Agree, plus it's "Part of Me" I mean..she's probably not winning that category  I'm still happy "Firework" won VOTY last year and I hope "Wide Awake" can have the same fate.

I'm not quite sure about VOTY for Wide Awake but I think it has a very good chance on "Best Visual Effects"

I know MTV will pay WA dust seeing as how Firework won last year. Imagine if it does though, the meltdowns from a certain little fan base

The categories are fan voted. Except the technically awards, those are decided by "professionals throughout the industry", so It's not MTV. I'm positive Wide Awake will win its technical awards. WA got universal acclaim.
