Rihanna's latest performances of LOTB have been well... not goot at all
I'm happy that it's the next single all i hope is that it isn't all she performs at the VMAs cause..
I need a good video for LOTB if the videos released this era are anything to go by she can keep it for herself

So how far along is she is recording R9.

I ask because anti (as I coined the phrase in Feb) flopped at flopping and Love on the #1 is a great album closer however, if they aren't ready for a new album by the end of the year I can see them pushing out another single if it's still in the top 10 on billboard 200.

I personally want them to release Love on the #1 in Sept perform it at the AMAs in November during peak audience to get that peak at #1

Superbowl 2017 with her global hits spanning a decade and then release her new album and new single that Friday before

Well I have a theory that I've been meaning to mention for a while. When looking at Rih I think she is much more male-identified when it comes to her career rather than female-identified. People love to say she is copying her female peers but it just doesn't add up.

• LA Reid saying they wanted her to be the female Sean Paul aka NOT putting her in a lane with Nina Sky, etc.
• Working with rappers consistently, mingling in the urban crowd despite the lack of women, finding mentorship in Kanye/Jay/etc.
• Female role models = Mariah and Madge. I think you could make the same male-identified observation for both of them.
• The moves into fashion ranging from commercial wear to designer is reminiscent of the early 00's with Diddy (Sean John), Russell Simmons/legend Kimora (Baby Phat), and once again Dame Dash/Jay-Z (Rocawear) [can you tell she is a Roc Nation girl through in through?! She's never ever leaving them]
• The love of/for Naomi, someone who I'd also argue is male-identified in her career steps
• The Samsung deal which comes straight from Jay with some slight tweaks

ANYWAYS. When trying to predict Rih's career moves I look towards her male peers first. That being said, I feel confident in thinking she will do a greatest hits medley (like JT). With LOTB being the next single I don't even think she'll do it at the VMA's. Classic Rhenna + it's too early anyways. She might do greatest hits + Kiss It Better or something but I think the emphasis will be on her entire career rather than just this era. I hope they get the remix treatment like Man Down @ AWT. Also some slayful transitions like the BRITS.

Whatever she does for the LOTB video I simply pray that the shoot is more than 24 hours. As I've said before that is the reason the ANTI (and other) videos have been lackluster. Taking 2-4 days to film practically guarantees a great video.

You could see her nipple in AO video and in no way was she trying to be controversial, it's just who she is. She doesn't wear bras.

The only reason why I don't think she'll do a greatest hits performance is because it's too different from what she's doing on tour and time is of essence at this point.

Instead I think majority of her hits will be covered in a video montage w people talking about her before her performance.

& apparently RoyalFamily is needed for the performance along with the casting call ppl. So she's obviously doing multiple songs

& Chem I agree with your observation just like Rih takes on a rapper or rockstar performance style I think she's molding her overall brand like the male moguls she knows.

Diddy and Jay in particular have brands that extend beyond their musical lifespan. They no longer have to rely on a hit song or album for relevance or money. I think Rihanna has a similar end goal.

But instead of going in the record label/ alcoholic drinks path that they did she'll set up shop in the fashion & beauty.
