Pop is where the money is at though...and you have more chart success, career longevity, and keep in contact with the GP if you at least dabble in pop music.

So many artists performing at the VMA's this year. I have hope that her limelight will not be overshadowed, though. She just has to perform something that will leave the audience shook & remind them of her legacy.

Rih will never be overshadowed. Especially during a night where her career is being celebrated. Her discography and accomplishments are legendary and fascinating that in itself is already show stealing to me ( GP will be reminded of that as well) her performing is just the cherry on top

if she did perform 4 times during the show what if they go through all 8 of her eras throughout the show (maybe 2 eras a segment)... They show montages of what she's accomplish on each era (maybe montage of the music vids in each era) and then she performs a song for each era.... Anti will be in the end of the show where she'll sing Higher (jk... Probably love on the brain)......... Scenarios I guess?

The only way she could be overshadowed is if she accepts the award via webcam whilst she's on vacation, has a tribute act, etc. It's not going to happen. This is Rih's night; no matter how many overrated albums get praised that night

Ehh... that's debatable. Especially as Rih has proven she can be very successful without the full support of Pop.

I'm more generally talking about in her getting #1's...most of Rih's #1's have some pop elements infused to get top 40 radio to push, and play them.
Now with streaming, radio may not matter as much (as evidenced by Needed Me's chart success), but radio is still a big determining factor as to what becomes a #1 hit and what doesn't.
