"Born This Way" was never sent back and forth digitally. They transferred the song back and forth, for listening, editing, etc., physically so that nothing could get intercepted or copied digitally to allow a leak. The first time it found it's way on an internet-enabled computer was so it could be uploaded to iTunes. That's how it didn't leak.
The album, however, leaked around the time I knew it would; those few days around the time it leaked were when the album was going through mass production and many copies were being made. It would be easy for someone to just take a CD, rip it at home, and upload it, which is what happened. Those old "It's digitally encoded so it won't play until the release date" rumors were just nonsense.
THIS is what I'm talking about, they aren't stupid enough to put the single on a pc that has internet or send it through e mails -_____- !!

Good point. However the way BTW leaked was a CD company got copies of the CD and someone who purchased it gave it to a website which posted the album.
I remember my friends were swearing that the BTW demo leaked I kept telling them no such thing was leaked prior to Feb 11, 2011. I personally believe they fell for the fan made demo where it was her VMA speech looped
The single isn't gonna drop until 8.19, I'm pretty sure of it. I feel like we might be getting some new music (or portions of it) in the next few days though.
and Blurred Lines has had between a 40-50% lead in the US for a long time and it's still getting crazy updates on the radio.
I hardly ever visit it, I don't like the people on there and the site doesn't look that good tbh, it lacks a clear structure
