I really think the Navy is underestimating Higher being performed live... Singing it isolated by itself I understand since it will need some type of lyrical context or visual set up (making herself act drunk or something) for people to get right away....but the fact that she could perform it in the VMA as part of a medley is the perfect chance because it will transition really well after LOTB. It is the penultimate track of the album where she completely loses herself. The other tracks are too chill and aren't really enough to wow audiences but I could see higher being the one having so much emotional impact that even if sang badly (which is kinda the point) it will at least leave an impression.

Songs like Higher, Farewell, and The Last Song (to name a few) meant to be an album track and not even being considered by Rih to do them live. But then again, we heard Cold Case Love live in 2013 after Rih saying that she can't see herself performing it (when Rated R got released) along with The Last Song; because they were emotional and afraid to cry. So in conclusion, she could perform Higher later in her career, but I can't see it happening at the moment.

The Vanguard is such a big moment though... this could be her "blue" moment during Beyoncés own vanguard performance but I can understand if she can't sing it since its so emotionally devastating (I can't even imagine pulling that kind of vulnerability in front of a shallow VMA audiences anyway)

Actually, Hate That... is the FIRST music video by Rih I've ever watched. Late 2007, my older brother showed it to me and I remember falling in love with her. So I keep reminding myself to listen to it because I tend to forget about how amazing the song is.

Realistically though , we will get only one of those "1/2/3".

This is most realistic to me. I don't think she'd go any older.

*Higher could be swapped for a different (older) song tho... I just wanna hear it live...it'll prob actually make the song listenable if she toned it down for the live perf...hopefully

I can see her performing 3-4 songs max. @ the VMAs.
Entrance with Needed Me (something like Diamonds @ the AMAs/ VSFS but more dgaf attitute) , slow it down with Kiss It Better + kill it with LOTB.
But no matter what she performs I want her not to be on the stage when the song starts because I want to see her entering the stage ( if that makes sense ) then they should give her the award.
