But then my next problem is, why would you waste your time making such a long song that you were positive was going to be a single, only to edit the **** out of it later.
It's not like it would have made the song any less valuable.
That **** is straight up stupid.
I know other songs get radio edits, but why would you make a song when you're going to have to edit at/around 1/4th of it. Surely it'd make more sense to just make the real song the "radio" edited song (in this case).
Because people actually like the full song such as myself. This isn't a difficult concept to understand. I feel like you are over analysing it just to discredit "Big Fat Smash".

Sis, what's your name?
I was over the BFB discussion until I glanced at the last few pages this morning.
"It's weird. You can see the cruelest part of the world - the cruelest part. But then on the other side, you'd see the most beautiful part. It's like you go from one extreme to the next. And they're both worth it because you wouldn't see the other without the other one. But that cruel part is damn cruel - and you'll never forget it. But that heaven is heaven. So, it's like I've been to both places." - Britney Spears, "BRITNEY: For The Record"
Oh, God! She's just giving me a LOT of inspiration for myself!
Oh, Britney. I love you soooo much!
Aww  I love this quote as well, actually FTR is Full of amzing quotes that I'll never forget. Dont y'all just love how "nervous" she gets talking abt VMA? "YOU HAVE AMAAAAAZING PERFORMANCES AND U HAVE OK PERFORMANCES, NOT EVERY PERFORMANCE CAN BE AN AMAZING PERFORMANCE"
