I say that as someone who actually OWNS and plays 4.
The Sims 3 is a great game and imho, I definitely would rather continue to play TS3 right now as TS4 is very bare. It's a good game, but a lot needs to be added before it's even comparable to TS2/3.
IMHO. The lack of open world is really annoying. The constant loading screens (regardless of how short or long they are) are immersion breaking. It's really annoying that I can barely do anything without hitting a loading screen. Like, that neighbouring house that's a few metres from my house? I can't even walk near it without my game needing to put all it's effort into loading it.
I think the game should allow for open exploration of the small blocks of the neighbourhood you see in the map. This also includes being able to freely visit neighbouring houses without loading screens as it's really ridiculous atm.
