I haven't really thought about that too much, but honestly I can't say I care that much. While a collection of good songs and some cohesion is important to me, I just don't think she should focus on a story as much as she should its delivery.

In terms of progression and direction TFM Is definitely her best effort with BTW trailing closely behind.

Having pop producers like RedOne/BloodPop, rock producers like Tame Impala and funk/disco like Mark Ronson and Nile Rogers makes it seem like it won't feel cohesive and consistent. An ARTPOP tea.

You can't really say that without hearing what sounds they're contributing though. That's literally just based on what we know of their prior works. If artists can get cohesion through millions of demos on writing camps, Gaga can get cohesion through a few diverse producers, it's not impossible nor is it anything to really be concerned about. ARTPOP does have a pace and a tone, it's just very different from her other albums.

ARTPOP's pace/tone is the only big issue I have with it.

I'm with you on that. I almost wish she did more with the aura concept. It's sad that went nowhere. But the album feels a bit too rushed for me. There's not really a particular moment to relish in like you can on her other albums imo.

my problem with ARTPOP is that it's all over the place...from Aura to Donatella to Jewels 'N Drugs, Swine, and Dope, they are all so different, it might've worked with interludes. Overall I loved most of the songs, bit Jewels 'N Drugs and Partynauseous belonged on an album together, as well as Venus, Fashion, Donatella, G.U.Y.. It sounded like a mash up of three or four albums

It might be interesting if she recorded like 10 songs in different styles, so the same lyrics, but other productions: Rock, Pop, RnB, Disco, etc

I feel like that would be so cool to do. It would definitely be expensive but I'd love to just see her experiment like that and maybe do it on a small scale. Like 5 songs done in 3 different genres so it feels like 15 different songs.

Also I'm quite confident the album is titled Funk The Punk. Like she totally ARTPOPed us and just hasn't told us yet.

Unless Gaga's not told him the album's changed direction, I guess that means that she didn't scrap the 2015 sessions. Which would presumably mean LG5 must be at least mostly done by this point, no?!
