How in 2014 people remain oblivious to how lip-syncing works is beyond me!!!
Like, really.
Of course, she lip-synched to a PRE-RECORDED track.
Seasoned lippers such as Cheryl, Janet, J.Lo, and co will record a version of the song with new adlibs, heavy breathing, and even call-outs to the crowd to create the illusion of singing live. Watch them closely and it becomes clear that more of than not, the "live" vocals would physically be impossible to project with all that dancing/weave whipping.
I'm actually one of the few that not only understands the need for pre-records, but actually likes some of them more than CD version. A lot of acts use adlibs that were cut from the studio track and are more playful with the vocal. Like this this MUCH better than the radio version:

+1
the sound quality as well. when a performer is miming, i notice that the "voice" seems to be a part of the background track, like it doesn't seem to come from the mic but from the somewhere else. it doesn't sound realistic at all.
The performance hasn't done much for pre-orders either, I was expecting it to shoot up to the 20s. Little Mix's performance, however, has had an impact on Salute's digital sales.

Considering Salute's date of release was last Sunday... Not difficult when they were already in the top 20.
CSL has jumped around 80 positions, I hope it keeps climbing.
Is there a link to the performance? Where is everyone watching it?
I had the show recorded and just caught up, I'm sure it will be up soon.
But honestly everything so far has really disapointed me, she needs to step up big time. I hated the dancing too, like that shouldn't happen with a Cheryl performance!!

I have not watched the performance yet, what happened with the dancing that you didn't like it?
I hope it wasn't Fight For This Love levels of dancing. That was horrible.

I thought it was good but it didn't really match the feel of the song. My housemate was watching it with me and was like "what beats are she dancing to? There's like one instrument playing."

Because one is releasing next month and the other is realsing next week. lol.
I really don't care about the pre-orders stats, I just mentioned it because some Chezza stans were laughing at Nicole's "pre-orders" and saying Cheryl would go top 10 after the performance without the single being released.

It just didn't match the song, plus I thought the whole production of it looked messy. Maybe to the casual viewer it would have been good, but I think I just expected more.
If you compare it to Call My Name debut on The Voice, even her haters were complimentary on here, DS, PJ etc.

It doesn't matter. Ella's Ghost is #21 on the chart based on pre-orders only. If people loved it they would've bought it, p-o it.
Ella's Ghost is probably at its airplay peak now considering it is released tomorrow, add to the fact that the song has been getting advertised during just about every Capital FM ad break today telling people it is released at midnight. I had the radio on all day at work and the chorus was constantly being played.
