Up - 9/10

I want to give this one a ten so badly, but I need to watch it more to really justify giving it a 10 out of 10. I don't hand out 10's to any film I've just watched. I didn't even give Wall-E a 10 on first viewing. But let me state this right now: it's going to be extremely hard for me to find a film that has been executed quite as well as Up was in 2009. Everything, and I do mean everything, works. The jokes are top-notch, the portions meant to tug at your heart strings do their job way too effectively (and this is Pixar's follow-up to the most emotional film experience I've ever had), and the action scenes are pulse-pounding and exhilarating. I could not recommend this more if I tried.

9/10 - Such an amazing movie. At first, I didn't see what all the hype was about, but after I saw Gabourey's performance, I was blown away. The movie can be funny at times, but all the serious situations really made the movie. Mariah Carey wasn't too bad either. I still don't see the point of making her look older, but at least her acting skills got better.

Recommend this with flying colors.

Doghouse - 6.5

British comedy horror movie starring Danny Dyer and Noel Clarke inwhich a group of best mates go on a trip to a small village to cause havoc to cheer up a friend who has just split up with his wife. It turns out that a Washing Up Liquid has biological effects on all woman and they turn into Zombie creatures, and kill all men in sight. It's an average com-hor with a few laughs. I wouldn't go as far as saying I'd recommend it, because although I enjoyed it, I wouldn't recommend it to an International audience.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - 8/10

One of the most impressive of the Potter films. Everything seemed so important here. One thing I will say is that there isn't nearly as much action as Order of the Phoenix, but that's what makes this film so great. Its story-driven nature gives it room to breathe and work its magic (pardon the pun), and also amplify the relationships throughout the film, most notably Harry and Dumbledore, which is the focus of the entire film, right up to the end. I, for one, cannot wait for the seventh installment(s), though it's also sad, because that means that the series is almost over. *sigh*

I just watched "Up" for the first time a few weeks ago. I completely agree. It was so amazing that I watched it again right when it finished.

My Sister's Keeper: 7.3/10 I thought it would be bad and overly and tackily emotional, it was overly emotional, but in a good way, it surprised me. A good one.

Angels & Demons - 8/10 The beginning was boring, all talk, but when the crime and many things started to happen, I became more drawn to it. I kind of expected of who was the bad guy.

Very cool movie! It had a Brave New World sort of feeling, which I absolutely loved.
I guess I wanted some things explained, or at least better portrayed, but overall the plot and characters worked well.

When I saw him, acting all innocent at the beginning, I told my family that he's the villian of this film.
They all were shocked that I got it right.

Good movie with interesting story/action but this is definitely not what I usually watch.
The starting was a bit expected from the interaction... after that, I doubt I saw anything coming.

I gotta differ with you on this one, I guess animated films don't appeal me that much.
