Sunday for Radio&Records, tuesday (I think) for Billboard.
Originally posted by Kworb I was browsing Mediabase again and wondered:
1. Why do Urban and Rhythmic always play the same songs? Can't they merge?
2. Why are all ballads by black people immediately classified as R&B (so they get played on both Urban and Rhythmic) while ballads by white people only get Pop airplay and occasionally Hot AC?
I'm not being racist here, just wondering why black people have such an advantage when trying to score a hit.
You have just discovered how terrible is Radio with pop artists. And just check the hot100, 17 songs in the top20 are Rnb-related.

Ok, there are some good songs in the Top 20, but that situation is totally unbearable and unbelievable.
Mis-Teeq has a ways to go to hit top 15, as does Sugababes looking for top 25 and JoJo and Christina going top 20. They have to nab a lot of spins to reach the next peak.
Nina Sky #52, but almost 500 spin gain. Is that a glitch? I noticed that it was +100 last time I checked.
I thought #4 would be the peak for "Naughty Girl"... But now, looks like this song will be No.2 until sunday's evening update - is just 16 spins from "This Love", which is losing 176 spins.
I know it doesn't make any sense. . . payola maybe?
Justin, maybe this will help.
