This year has actually been great to be a Kelly stan...Pop singles, country singles, and a Christmas album with jazz country and pop. What other girl is so versatile in a year?

I hate to be the pessimist here everything she's done this year has flopped At least none of it has been from a studio album, so it won't make much difference to the general public, they mostly only know about studio albums, half of the time the public don't even know when a song flops, if they hear it enough on radio (like CMB) they'll just assume it was a hit.

I hear you but I think it's an improvement for her. Historically this would have just a been an off year of random appearances. CMB is def a sleeper hit, PLU did go #1 on dance and TIU/DR gave her some respect from the country world. All of it is keeping her name relevant until the next major album. The Christmas album has the potential to give us a holiday hit as well

Hopefully with all the positive publicity she's gotten since Inauguration will help her sales in her Xmas album and her next studio album next year. Overall, it's been a good GH transitioning era, all things considered.

True, she's got more exposure this year rather than fading back like she usually does after an album..But TIU and PLU were delivered with so much cheese, that I'm honestly worried for the next studio album which is supposed to be all "lovey-dovey".

Girls has been working pretty hard since Stronger/MKIA release and that 2 years ago. I'm actually really impressed. We haven't gotten this many music videos since the BA era...and 3 tours. I guess all she needed was some Krandon lovin to keep her motivated

I think it will because not all of it was smashing in everyone's face. It had some good natural peaks and valleys. Among people I know, I feel like she has mainly gained a lot of respect and cred. The Grammy win, the Grammy performance, Inauguration and even the Superbowl

I don't know about too much exposure though. She's not pretentious in her interviews and is pretty bubbly during her performances. I'd say it probably takes more work to dislike her than it is to get attached to her personality (from a GP point of view).

Kelly's image has changed so much since the Superbowl. When I lived in the U.S. which was back in 2010 I never even admitted that I was a Kelly fan. Only the trashy people admitted to listening to her. The AIEW era was a mess and there was so much bad publicity. Tabloids just loved to pick on her. But after the Superbowl, she suddenly returned thinner and with a new smash single and people started to realize how talented she is. And then, she kind of became generally liked among the GP. She's one of America's sweethearts again and I haven't read any negative articles about her in months, even from gossip sites that used to bash her three years ago.

I know what you mean! Literally, before WDKY/Superbowl timing I had to defend my stanning for Kelly. Now when I tell people they totally get and admit they like her too. I feel like people don't even bash her about her weight anymore. She handled that so well by taking a positive stance on that. I really think the GP is finally starting to "get" her. Even if they don't love her, they aren't really bashing her anymore.

Yeah, I have a feeling that Stronger era was a kind of blessing for her. She was put back on the map, she gained a lot of respect, she won a Grammy, she has become the American sweetheart again. Thanks to Stronger (and MKIA) she has gained fans all over the world and thanks to DR and country MKIA (and now TIU) she has gotten some respect in the country world. GH era is/was kinda successful - although it didn't produced any big hit (especially ww), it still managed to outsell other girls studio efforts and is certified gold. Xmas album might be a success as well. I just hope she won't **** up 6th album era.
